This is a portable, monocular compound microscope. Along with the LED transmitted lighting, we include a free gooseneck LED lamp which mounts behind the nospiece for reflected lighting. The microscope has five magnification levels (40X, 100X, 250X, 400X & 1000X) when used with both sets of eyepieces. This microscope is suitable for both home use and field use as it can be used with batteries in addition to the AC power. This microscope is a great choice for kids who want to explore the microscopic world around them. To make things even better, this package includes a 640x480px digital camera for capturing photos and videos on a your computer.
The camera replaces the eyepiece when in-use, and allows you to view the image on your computer monitor. We've also included a 10-piece slide kit, with five prepared slides (pine stem, sunflower stem, onion epidermis, cotton stem and house fly leg) and five blank slides, as well as a book to introduce the world of microscopy.
