Intertape LA-26 Polyester/Rope-Fiber Laminate Tape combines the moisture, chemical, abrasion and puncture resistance of polyester film with the machine direction strength and dimensional stability of rope-fiber paper backing. Intertape LA 26 tape, with pressure-sensitive thermosetting adhesive, is designed for high-temperature applications up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (176 degrees Celsius). It is ideal for tabbing, holding and wrapping, masking PCB gold fingers during wave solder and HAL operations. It can also be used for "powder coat" masking. Since Permacel 99 was discontinued and was specifically written into the ASTM D3359-08 Measuring Adhesion by Tape Test our customers have sought out alternatives. They have found the IPG LA-26 tape product to be "suitable" for this test, although users should report in their documentation any differences in the results of their testing compared to past results. Made in the U.S.
NOTES: Sizes shipped will typically be the tape industry standard metric-cut sizes, i.e. 24mm for each 1 inch of nominal tape width ordered (rolls are approximately 5% narrower than the nominal size). This product's actual size is 24mm x 55m. As with any adhesive tape product it is always the user's responsibility to determine that the product is suitable for their intended use; e.g. if you want to remove a product cleanly from a specific type of substrate please test on an inconspicuous area first.Technical Information
