Reviews:
Walter Put in New Op-amps and this card will get you pure sound you crave for even a hardened audiophile. This sound card is mediocre until you replace the op-amps. This card was designed to be up-graded. Just carefully lift out the old op-amps and push in your new ones. The earphone from the factory has some static in the back ground. I tried three op-amps and the two I found that sounded the best to my ears in the Texas Instruments OPA2134AP 8dip. (The eight dip refers to the mounting type) the one I bought that I kept in the card was the OPA2107AP which was just a tad clearer. You can find the OPA2134AP for about $4.. 05 or so. The OPA2107AP is $ 19.00 plus change. Either of these op-amps will make this the premier sound card it ought to be. Clear, distinct, static free pure sound with great bass at some ridiculously low. 00008 audio distortion. Russ T. Better audio than competitors $200 cards. I just upgraded to this card from the ASUS ROG Strix Raid Pro DLX. I was experiencing hardware failure after hardware failure with the ASUS card, and contacted HT Omega about how their products had been doing.

Their support answered my questions and I purchased this card as a result. Asus tech support had me hanging more than 3 weeks with no resolution in sight.
Pros: *Great price. *Amazing sound. My primary games I'm playing now are Mass Effect Andromeda, Elite Dangerous, Doom (2016) and Fallout 4. I was seriously looking around for what was making all the new noises I was actually hearing now. *Truly 7.1 audio *Games understand it inherently. Sounds travel as they should.
*Supports DirectAudio Cons: * Make sure when you're plugging in your speakers you can test each individual port. In the dim light behind my computer case when I went to wire everything up I had everything shifted out of order, and had to redo it after a confusing sound experience. (I'd swapped the center/sub with front, and rear and side surround channels) *Coil whine is present but much more manageable than artifacts coming through from the competition card (Recently returned ASUS STRIX RAID DLX Sound Card] and only discernible when the game / video benchmark has zero audio.
