DNP DS40 Dyesub Printer Perforated Media
Ideal for photo booths and other photo novelty operations, DNP's new perforated media allows for multiple photo size selections at a significantly increased output rate. The new perforated media is a special derivative of the standard 6x8" photo paper that features a 2" laser-snap double perforation.
The 6x8" double perforated media allows for snap-off photo strips as well as the ability to attach "call to action" items such as vouchers, coupons, logos, and other promotional materials.
No special print drivers or firmware are necessary, as DNP printers will recognize the new media as a standard media sheet. However, print templates are user-defined and all designs should accommodate the perforation area.
Dye-Sublimation Media
Dye-sublimation diffuses dye, using ribbon onto paper. Heat is applied to the ribbon and that converts the dye to gas which is, in turn, absorbed into a specialized receiving layer on the paper.
Dye layers are then sealed into the paper to protect against UV light, fingerprints, and even water. Unlike ink technologies, there is no smudging, running, or blotching because prints are dry and ready to touch as soon as they leave the printer.
DNP's dye-sublimation media solutions can create a total of 16.7 million true colors, reproduce stunning natural images, and are specially designed for use with DNP's professional photo printers.
