One step anti Hiv 1+2 Test strip checks for antibodies in hiv 1and 2. This test is based on the principle of double antigen sandwich immunoassay for the qualitative detection of anti Hiv of anti-hiv in human serum, while purified recombine antigens are employed to identify anti-hiv. This one step test takes only 15minutes and very sensitive. Results are reached without any instrumentation. Specimen collection : For serum, collect blood into container without anticoagulant. Do not freeze and thaw the specimen repeatedly.
: 1.To begin, tear the notch to remove strip from pouch.
2. Immerse strip into sample with the arrow end pointing towards the sample. Do not immerse past the Maximum line. Take the strip out after 8-10 seconds and lay the strip flat on a clean , dry, nonabsorbent surface.
3. Wait for the coloured bands to appear. Read results within 15 minutes. Do not read results after 20 minutes. Interpretation Of Results
Negative: Only one coloured band appears on the control region. No apparen band on the test region. This indicates that there is nodetectable anti-hiv in the serum.
Positive : Distinct colour bands appears on the control and regions test. Both test line and control line indicate that the specimen contains detectable amount of anti-hiv
Invalid : No visible band at all or only one colored band appears on the test region, this is an error. The test should be repeated using new device.
1. For in-vitro diagnostic use only.
2. The test is qualitative filter detection, cant be used as final test for blood donor.
