Our Handcrafted Metal Wings Up Heron Sculpture will add the beauty and grace of this beloved wetland bird to any indoor or outdoor space. Indonesian artisans clean, cut and weld recycled metal to create the shape which is then hand painted in the distinctive Great Blue Heron markings. Sturdy rebar legs keep them standing tall in the garden. There are 64 recognized species of heron. The familiar egret is distinguished by its characteristic white coloring, while bitterns have noticeably shorter necks. Unlike storks, cranes and other similar-looking birds, herons fly with their necks retracted, not extended forward.
