A well built globe for kids, the Scout II Illuminated Globe is a smooth 12-inch globe packed with information. In addition to up-to-date geopolitical boundaries, this globe features over 4,000 named places and point of interest. A feature not found on most kids globes is the ocean floor topography along with identification. This globe features an acrylic sphere along with a thick plastic base and meridian. to hold up for many years.

The LED Illuminated feature built into the globe allows you to turn the globe on and off via an external cord with inline switch (not shown) which exits the adjoined meridian at the south pole. When the globe is illuminated it enhances the look of the cartography of the map, named places and points of interest. It also serves as a back light or night light in any room.
