Add a network interface to your computer via USB. Compatibility - Please note the Plugable active HDMI to VGA adapter cable is not a bi-directional adapter, you can only connect an HDMI output to a VGA input. VGA does not support audio transmission; only the HDMI video signal will be converted. The maximum supported resolution of the cable is 1920 x 1080 (60Hz). Does not support playback of HDCP-protected content such as Blu-ray discs. The Plugable HDMI to VGA adapter requires a powered HDMI port, as well as a display device that outputs valid EDID configuration data. Cable utilizes the CH7101A chipset. Some devices do not provide enough power over the HDMI port to support this HDMI to VGA cable. Not recommended for use with the Raspberry Pi, Apple TV, Roku1/2/3, Blu-ray players, or Playstation 3/4.

Apple Compatibility - Different Mac models vary substantially in the amount of power supplied to the HDMI port. The MacBook Pro 13"" (mid-2014) and Mac Mini (mid-2011) have been tested and confirmed working. Use with other Mac models is not recommended.

It uses the ASIX AX88772 chipset for widest possible compatibility. Note the adapter is not for network enabling USB devices, rather it's the other way around - it's a USB device that adds a fast wired network interface to supported computers, consoles, and mobile devices running network-capable operating systems. The Phone Cube supports resolutions up to 1920x1080 (1080p).
Please keep in mind that while the Samsung DeX platform currently supports up to 2560x1440 (1440p) resolutions, achieving 1440p is dependent on the monitor.

Power and Charging
The Phone Cube is designed to be either self-powered (with the power adapter) or bus-powered (no power adapter).
It is recommended to keep the Phone Cube self-powered with the included power adapter (20W 5V/4A, UL60950-1), as that allows the connected phone to rapid charge with up to 15W of power.
Using the Phone Cube bus-powered will use up the connected phone's battery, but is great for on-the-go scenarios such as giving a presentation.
