It's built with a single post so that the remote pedal fits closely with the 5000 Series hi-hat stand (now also available as an XF model). There is no material more timeless in American drums than maple. It’s the go-to wood for a warm, deep studio sound. It’s fitting that PDP would build this snare with a 10-ply maple shell in 14x6.5” size, for a classic wood “crack” that sounded just as good 20 years ago as it does today. But in a nod to the future, PDP also developed an exclusive finish just for this anniversary release. This black finish features a matte texture, with a glossy stripe through the middle.
