Tom Waits Orphans: Bastards 180g 2LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Newly Remastered With Waits/Brennan On 180g Double LP! & lt;br & gt; Part Of The Orphans Collection, Available On Its Own For The First Time! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Tom Waits makes available as individual records his 2006 classic 56 song release Orphans: BRAWLERS, BAWLERS AND BASTARDS. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Bastards is a collection of experimental music and strange tales. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The collection of 56 songs went far beyond a simple career retrospective. It dipped back as far as 1984 with the bulk of its songs hailing from the mid-nineties onward. Over 2/3 of the material had never been heard when originally released in 2006 and had 30 newly recorded songs. Orphans also featured a number of songs finding a home on a Waits' album for the first time. They included Waits' unique interpretations of songs by such diverse talents as The Ramones, Daniel Johnston, Kurt Weill & amp; Bertolt Brecht and Leadbelly. These outtakes, rarities and the previously unreleased material were separately grouped into themes and named, Brawlers, Bawlers, and Bastards. And now these titles are released individually. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;No contemporary musician embodies the twin virtues of elegance and piracy better than Tom Waits. Glen Hansard Between Two Shores LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Third Solo Album On Vinyl LP! & lt;br & gt;Pressed at Quality Record Pressings! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Between Two Shores is the third solo release from acclaimed singer-songwriter Glen Hansard, on which he manages to capture that feeling of the big soul-ful sound of his large touring band while still retaining the intimate introspective nature of his acoustic shows. The album’s title comes from Hansard's ongoing love of sailing and the sea. When one is equal distance between their starting point and their destination they are in essence & quot;between two shores. & quot; A less than ideal time to wonder whether you should turn back or continue on, but a thought that inevitably rears its head. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Glen Hansard has built a career, now over 2 decades strong, on struggle. His impassioned songs mostly veer between the exhausting struggle to make it professionally and the numbing struggle to keep the affections of a romantic partner. Pick up any Frames or Swell Season record, or his first two solo releases, 2012's Rhythm And Repose and 2015's Didn't He Ramble, to find him chipping away at those two pillars. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Glen Hansard has won both an Academy Award and multiple Tony Awards for his work on & quot;Once & quot; - the song & quot;Falling Slowly & quot; won an Oscar for Best Original song in 2007 and the musical won 8 Tony Awards in 2013. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • Vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; • Limited time download card & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Wilco Schmilco 180g LP (Vinyl)
& lt;b & gt; & lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt;10th Studio Album On 180g Vinyl Features 12 New Songs! & lt;br & gt; Pressed at QRP! & lt;/font & gt; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Wilco's Schmilco is a mostly acoustic record, but that doesn't mean it's a tame one. It bears neither the vicious, fuzz-glam guitars of 2015's Star Wars, nor the dazzling, baroque-ish arrangements that fans have come to expect. But in their place is a spaciousness and chaos that might feel welcome after twenty-some years of enjoyed but now-familiar Wilco releases. Schmilco is loose, and that's a good thing. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Schmilco is Grammy-award winning Wilco's 10th studio album and their follow-up to 2015's Star Wars. Schmilco features 12 new songs written by Jeff Tweedy and was recorded at the band's Chicago loft. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The album's name is a nod to the Harry Nilsson album Nilsson Schmilsson. The artwork was created by illustrator Joan Cornellà in collaboration with Stefania Lusini. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;I think this record is 'joyously negative', & quot; & lt;/b & gt; Tweedy said. & lt;b & gt; & quot;It's sad in a lot of ways but not in any that reach a conclusion of doom or hopelessness… I just had a lot of fun being sour about the things that upset me. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • Pressed at Quality Record Pressings & lt;br & gt; • Gatefold Jacket & lt;br & gt; • Includes limited time download card & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. She claims no genre, nor utilizes any classic formula for her songs and singing. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Originally released in 2006, with this release Neko fashioned an album that can cautiously be called a masterpiece. With its haunting fairy-tale art-work, standout songs like “Hold On, Hold On” and “Maybe Sparrow,” and all-star band highlighted by the presence of the incomparable Garth Hudson, this is one of Neko’s classics. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; • Remastered From Original Analog Tapes & lt;br & gt; • Gatefold & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Neko Case Blacklisted LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;2002 Album Reissued On 180g Vinyl LP! & lt;br & gt;Remastered From Original Analog Tapes! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Neko has a rough around the edges voice that possesses a formidable strength and range that causes critics and fans to swoon. Blacklisted, her third album, is a lush, haunting showcase for her awe-inspiring vocal talents, as well as an intensely intimate work that evokes a dark elegance with a hint of twang. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; To help create this record Neko brought together a grand cast of talented musicians; among them are Calexico, Howe Gelb, Kelly Hogan and members of The Sadies. Topping it off, Neko’s voice soars and swirls moving from a sultry smokiness to joyful harmony. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The album reflects a lost, almost homesick feeling - each song aches with vivid images, to stunning results. Although the lushly beautiful album is not conceptual, there's a certain quality about it that's cinematic. Unifying the album is an aura of unsettling vulnerability that envelops the listener. In the end, Blacklisted leaves you weary and heartbroken and wanting more. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;Blacklisted is a spooky, sexycool concoction that adds smoky blues and noirish jazz elements to Case's already distinctive blend. Its cinematic vibe -- all scorched twangs and moonlit echoes -- perfectly matches her wide-open-spaces voice. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - Fred Mills, Detroit Metro Times & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; • Remastered from original analog tapes & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Daniel Lanois & Rocco Deluca Goodbye To Language LP (Vinyl)
& lt;b & gt; & lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt;Vinyl LP With Limited Time Download Card! & lt;/font & gt; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Daniel Lanois joins forces with Rocco Deluca to create the unspeakable beauty that lies within Goodbye To Language! & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Daniel Lanois is one of the most influential record producers of the modern era: the man who brought Bob Dylan back; longtime collaborator with Brian Eno, sound sculpting a series of mammoth releases for U2; and producer of breakthrough late-career albums by Willie Nelson and Emmylou Harris. But before all that, Daniel Lanois was an experimental musician, recording his unique guitar voicings for groundbreaking albums with guys like Brian Eno and Jon Hassell, along the way helping to invent a genre called ambient music. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Goodbye to Language is the perfect joining of the dots, through the world-changing experiments of his early days with Eno, to his flights through the most rarefied atmospheres of the mainstream of music. Constructed entirely from the sounds of the pedal steel guitar, Daniel on the pedal steel and his mate Rocco Deluca on the lap steel with compositional rigor that recalls the 20th century dreamscapes of Ravel and Debussy, with a sense of sonic futurism and yet also with the naturalness that can only come from someone rooted in centuries of grassroots music. And while fusions of influence can sometimes lead to homogenization in the blending of source material, this record does precisely the opposite: it’s about highlighting the highest common factors from a lifetime of influences. Or as he succinctly puts it: & quot;I operate under the banner of soul music – music that just feels right and comes from a truthful place. & quot; When a musician with as much expertise and experience as Daniel tells their own personal truth, you should really listen closely. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;Some time back in the presence of Ryan Worrall (my co-producer) and Dangerous Wayne Lorenz (my long-time friend, master recordist and music arranger) I decided that it was time to make a steel guitar record. My mates agreed and off we went. Into the open hearth, we prayed to the gods of steel. Ingots flared down into the blast furnace. We went to the valley below and as we looked, we saw the mountaintop. Lo and behold, our first title Deconstruction was born. The symphonic power appealed to all of us. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Touring began and I joined my good friend and cohort Rocco Deluca. We traveled to Spain, Istanbul and Ireland - he on low strung lap steel and me on my old friend the Sho-Bud. The harmonics collided and we became one. Back in the studio, Rocco gifted me with a substantial rock to stand on. I was now free to explore high melody lines as Rocco provided earth tones reminiscent of my early days at the altar. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; In London, Eno introduced me to a new gadget, a sweet little sampler that I bolted onto my steel guitar, my new secret weapon. Symphonies were our friend and our excursions took us to the unknown. We saw places that had never been, newborns wandering in old skins. We heard the sound of Les Voies Bulgare, saw Himalayan Mountains, Satie was there. The ghosts of Stravinsky and Wagner waved their batons. We never looked back; we played on. They pushed and chanted till we said no more. The taunting never stopped till we knew and forgot. All that we had learnt fell by the wayside and there we were, pure and simple, left with life experience at our fingertips. The music of our slide guitars with a little help from studio explosions holds in it (I hope) what I love about art - its capacity to pull an emotion from a listener. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The steel city never left me and my first love is still with me. She was at the forefront of the civil rights movement in the 1960s, as singer for the legendary gospel group The Staples Singers. Mavis, along with her father, Pops, and siblings marched and worked alongside Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on the fight for equality in the United States. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; In December 2016, Mavis went to Washington, D.C., to receive the coveted Kennedy Center Honors from President Obama, with whom she has had a long-standing friendship. Mavis invited Wilco frontman and dear friend Jeff Tweedy as her guest for the weekend's festivities. The two spent hours discussing the current events and how today's fight for equality is very similar to those in the '60s. Inspired by these events, Mavis and Jeff got together and wrote Mavis's new album, If All I Was Was Black, produced by Jeff Tweedy. The new album is a perfect message for our time and is by far Mavis's best work to date. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;A voice of reassurance in troubled times. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - Chicago Tribune & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;Rather than protest the state of the world, Staples is toasting human endurance -- hers as well as ours. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - Pitchfork & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;A voice that has lost none of its gutsy power since she unleashed it, some six decades ago. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - New York Times & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • Mastered by Bob Ludwig at Gateway Mastering & lt;br & gt; • Includes limited time download card & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Musicians: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Mavis Staples, vocals & lt;br & gt; Jeff Tweedy, guitar, bass, percussion, vocals & lt;br & gt; Spencer Tweedy, drums, percussion & lt;br & gt; Rock Holmstrom, guitar & lt;br & gt; Jeff Turmes, bass & lt;br & gt; Stephen Hodges, drums, percussion & lt;br & gt; Donny Gerrard, backing vocals & lt;br & gt; Vicki Randle, backing vocals & lt;br & gt; Kelly Hogan, backing vocals & lt;br & gt; Akenya Seymour, backing vocals & lt;br & gt; Glenn Kotche, percussion, & lt;br & gt; Scott Ligon, clavinet, piano, organ, Wurly, guitar & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Tom Waits Orphans: Brawlers 180g 2LP (Vinyl)

It's Waits's treatment of Georg Buchner's 1837 socio-political play, Woyzek, which premiered in 2000 in Copenhagen. It's a dark morality play performed in a style where a barker from a medicine show is mysteriously transported to the Weimar Republic via Tin Pan Alley. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Disturbing and delirious when it's not romantic and hilarious, the songs have a much more direct emotional appeal than the surrealistic Alice. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • Remastered by Tom Waits and wife Kathleen Brennan & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Each of the six titles has been remastered by Tom and his wife and musical collaborator Kathleen Brennan. Real Gone has been remixed by Karl Derfler. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; On Real Gone, Tom Waits walks a fraying tightrope. By utterly eliminating one of the cornerstone elements of his sound -- keyboards -- he has also removed his safety net. With songwriting and production partner Kathleen Brennan, he strips away almost everything conventional from these songs, taking them down to the essences of skeletal rhythms, blasted and guttural blues, razor-cut rural folk music, and the rusty-edge poetry and craft of songwriting itself. Real Gone is like two records in one and the contrasting emotions of each play off of each other perfectly. The up tempo tracks are some of the rawest and most kinetic he’s ever laid down, while the ballads are among his most haunting and beautiful, even chilling at times. Taken as a whole, the experience is breathtaking. Tom Waits and Kathleen Brennan have personally remixed and remastered Real Gone from the original master tapes bringing a new sonic brilliance to their 2004 creation. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • Double LP & lt;br & gt; • Remixed by Karl Derfler & lt;br & gt; • Remastered by Tom Waits and wife Kathleen Brennan & lt;br & gt; • Gatefold jacket & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Each of the six titles has been remastered by Tom and his wife and musical collaborator Kathleen Brennan. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Throughout his career, everyone’s favorite swamp blues troubadour Tom Waits has created milestone albums that serve both to refine the music that has come before, and to signal a new phase in his career: Rain Dogs and Mule Variations are both counted by fans as among these pivotal works. Then came Bad As Me, his first studio album of all new music since 2004's Real Gone, which finds Tom Waits in possibly the finest voice of his career and at the height of his songwriting powers, working with a veteran team of gifted musicians and longtime co-writer/ producer Kathleen Brennan. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;Since his career-changing one-two punch of Swordfishtrombones (1983) and Rain Dogs (1985), Waits's music has uneasily fit into two broad categories: ballads and banging. On Bad As Me, neither mode has been better since those two earlier successes. For those who mourn the passing of the easy-to-love melodies and sentimental turns of his years on Asylum Records, there's & quot;Last Leaf & quot;: Waits and Keith Richards join their cracked, creaky voices in a regretful old-man duo, as a tenacious leaf hangs on to its tree... & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - Robert Baird, & lt;i & gt;Stereophile Magazine & lt;/i & gt;, January 2012 issue, pg. 135 & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • Double LP & lt;br & gt; • Remastered by Tom Waits and wife Kathleen Brennan & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Musicians: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Tom Waits, vocals, banjo, piano, guitar, percussion & lt;br & gt; Keith Richards, guitar, vocals (B-4) & lt;br & gt; Les Claypool, bass & lt;br & gt; Charlie Musselwhite, harmonica & lt;br & gt; Flea, bass & lt;br & gt; Casey Waits, drums & lt;br & gt; Larry Taylor, guitar, acoustic & amp; electric bass & lt;br & gt; Marc Ribot, guitar & lt;br & gt; Clint Maedgen, saxes & lt;br & gt; Ben Jaffe, trombone, bass, clarinet & lt;br & gt; Augie Meyers, vox organ, piano, accordion & lt;br & gt; David Hidalgo, guitar, violin & lt;br & gt; James Whiton, bass & lt;br & gt; Gino Robair, percussion, vibes & lt;br & gt; Patrick Warren, keyboards & lt;br & gt; Chris Grady, trumpet & lt;br & gt; Dawn Harms, violin & lt;br & gt; Will Bernard, guitar & lt;br & gt; Marcus Shelby, bass & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. The legendary musician thought the two men should play together, so he brought them into the studio to record a song called simply & quot;Burnin’ Hell. & quot; The two remained friends and their paths periodically crossed out there on the road. But it wasn’t until 2013 that the two met up in a studio to record what would be their Grammy winning album Get Up! And as good as that record was, it was just the beginning. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Both men agree that their friendship deepened in the many months of touring that followed. And it’s that bond, that closeness, that makes this new record something special. At first glance, Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite might seem an unlikely pairing. While Ben grew up in in the tree lined Southern California college town of Claremont, a bastion of culture and liberalism just east of Los Angeles, Charlie was raised in Memphis during the time of rockabilly and Sun Records. The album made The Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Expanding beyond the folk and pop stylings of his first album, & quot;Heart of Saturday Night & quot;, Waits' second studio release, established his reputation as a versatile and distinctly American songwriter. & amp;nbsp; Its bluesy jazz arrangements featured bass, drums, sax and Waits on piano. & amp;nbsp; The title track, a melancholy ode to Saturday night rituals, and the tenderly romantic hymn-like & quot;San Diego Serenade & quot; are enduring classics covered by an array of artists from Diana Krall and Nancy Griffith to folk hero Eric Anderson and Dion. & amp;nbsp; The album also features & quot;Diamonds On My Windshield & quot;, the first of what would become a signature for Waits', the spoken word-poetry song. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Tom Waits is an American singer-songwriter, composer and actor. As a vocalist, he has a distinctive voice, described by critic Daniel Durchholz as sounding & lt;b & gt; & quot;like it was soaked in a vat of bourbon, left hanging in the smokehouse for a few months, and then taken outside and run over with a car. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; With this trademark growl, his incorporation of pre-rock music styles such as blues, jazz, and vaudeville, and experimental tendencies verging on industrial music, Waits has built up a distinctive musical persona. He has worked as a composer for movies and musical plays and as a supporting actor in films, including Down By Law and Bram Stoker's Dracula. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his soundtrack work on One from the Heart. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • Newly remastered with Waits/Brennan & lt;br & gt; • Original artwork & lt;br & gt; • Pressed at RTI & lt;br & gt; • Mastering supervised by Gavin Lurssen & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side 1: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Tom Waits Nighthawks At The Diner 180g 2LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Live Album Newly Remastered On 180g Vinyl Double LP! & lt;br & gt; Pressed at RTI! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; For his third release, Nighthawks At The Diner (1975), Waits recorded a double album of new music live in front of an audience at the Record Plant Studios in Los Angeles. The album features Waits setting up many songs by telling the stories behind them, a practice that remains an integral part of his live show to this day. Waits recorded this record with a jazz combo consisting of Mike Melvoin (piano), Pete Christlieb (tenor sax), Jim Hughart (bass) and Bill Goodwin (drums). & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Tom Waits is an American singer-songwriter, composer and actor. Waits has a distinctive voice, described by critic Daniel Durchholz as sounding & lt;b & gt; & quot;like it was soaked in a vat of bourbon, left hanging in the smokehouse for a few months, and then taken outside and run over with a car. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; With this trademark growl, his incorporation of pre-rock music styles such as blues, jazz, and vaudeville, and experimental tendencies verging on industrial music, Waits has built up a distinctive musical persona. He has worked as a composer for movies and musical plays and as a supporting actor in films, including Down By Law and Bram Stoker's Dracula. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his soundtrack work on One from the Heart. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Lyrically, Waits' songs frequently present atmospheric portrayals of grotesque, often seedy characters and places - although he has also shown a penchant for more conventional ballads. He has a cult following and has influenced subsequent songwriters despite having little radio or music video support. His songs are best-known to the general public in the form of cover versions by more visible artists: & quot;Jersey Girl & quot;, performed by Bruce Springsteen and & quot;Downtown Train & quot;, performed by Rod Stewart. Although Waits' albums have met with mixed commercial success in his native United States, they have occasionally achieved gold album sales status in other countries. He has been nominated for a number of major music awards and has won Grammy Awards for two albums, Bone Machine and Mule Variations. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • Double LP & lt;br & gt; • Newly remastered with Waits/Brennan & lt;br & gt; • Original artwork & lt;br & gt; • Pressed at RTI & lt;br & gt; • Mastering supervised by Gavin Lurssen & lt;br & gt; • Gatefold jacket & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side One: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Now more than 23 years into her musical calling, Case is the consummate career artist--fearless and versatile, with a fierce work ethic and a constant drive to search deeper within herself for creative growth. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Anti- releases Neko Case's Hell-On, an indelible collection of colorful, enigmatic storytelling that features some of her most daring, through-composed arrangements to date. Produced by Neko with help from Bjorn Yttling (Peter Bjorn & amp; John), Hell-On is simultaneously the most accessible and most challenging album in a rich and varied career thatÂ’s offered plenty of both. Rife with withering self-critique, muted reflection, anthemic affirmation, and her unique poetic sensibility, the 12 tracks of Hell-On features collaborations with artists such as Joey Burns, Beth Ditto, Kelly Hogan, KD Lang, AC Newman, Mark Lanegan, Laura Veirs, and more. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;There were a few challenges during the making of this record from small (scheduling difficulties, and occasional miscommunication) to large (my house burning down while I was overseas). But none of them are the story of this recording, the songs are the story. They are my best self. They are everything I've worked for since I was a kid, whether I knew it or not... The songs are who I believe myself to be and that will change, but for now thatÂ’s how it is and IÂ’m very satisfied with that. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - Neko Case & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;In countless ways, the self-produced Hell-On simply encapsulates Case's own singular vision. A quarter-century into her career, her words still feel intensely personal and utterly oblique, as if she's whispering her darkest secrets in Sanskrit. But she also remains endlessly quotable (ex: & quot;God is a lusty tire fire & quot;) even at her most elusive, in songs that unfold like puzzles she's still solving herself. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - NPR & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;ItÂ’s a sweeping, lovely album, another example of what Case has done so well for so long. & quot; & lt;/b & gt;- Stereogum & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;Case has been labeled & quot;country noir & quot; but that facile term gives short shrift to the complexity and consistently fine quality of her songs. Her soaring phrases resemble Patsy Cline's, but that vibrato-less voice, sometimes creamy and sometimes militant, is all her own, fitting naturally into reverberant, layered arrangements that would bury other singers...Every album of hers has at least one gut punch in the lyrics, and here she drops that bomb in the autobiographical & quot;Curse of the I-5 Corridor, & quot; where she's joined by Mark Lanegan. Her soul-baring comes from humane honesty, not self-indulgence, and it sheds a soft light on the same weaknesses in all of us... a record to spend the rest of your life with. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; Stephen Estep, & lt;i & gt;The Absolute Sound & lt;/i & gt;, January 2019 & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Double LP & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Triple gatefold & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Trading the piano for the guitar, Waits is became more raw and bluesier and the title track is a great example of this. Waits is in transition here, so you also get a stunning orchestrated rendition of Gershwin's & quot;Somewhere & quot;, and the beautiful piano ballad, & quot;Kentucky Ave. & quot;, but you also get the juke joint swagger of & quot;Romeo Is Bleeding & quot; and & quot;Whistlin' Past the Graveyard & quot;. Tom Waits Foreign Affairs 180g LP (Vinyl)

Opening with the instrumental & quot;CinnyÂ’s Waltz & quot; and featuring some new standards like & quot;Muriel & quot; and & quot;I Never Talk To Strangers & quot;, his dramatic duet with Bette Midler, this album gets into some of Waits' most ambitious storytelling ever. Foreign Affairs also features the jazzy, colorful & quot;Jack and Neil & quot; and the sweeping, dramatic & quot;Potters Field & quot; as well as classic Waits ballads & quot;Burma Shave & quot; and & quot;Sight for Sore Eyes & quot;. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;...Foreign Affairs, fortunately, shows a resuscitation of Waits' voice and ability to write moving lyrics. & quot;A Sight for Sore Eyes, & quot; like his earlier & quot;Tom Traubert's Blues. & quot; reaches through its borrowed melody to grasp you by the shoulder; the speaker is a still-sharp, piano-playing rummy, desperately lonely and trying to sound offhand. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & quot;Likewise. & quot;Burma Shave & quot; cannot be ignored. As elsewhere on this spare, unsweetened album (no overdubs or multitracking). Waits plays his own trailing piano accompaniment as he stacks up fresh, filmic images that make you care about this cowboy punk and the small-town girl who hopped into his wreck. His gruff, stolid singing gives us too little, and a bright trumpet coda gives us too much, but the song's integrity survives... & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - Fred Schruers, & lt;i & gt;Rolling Stone & lt;/i & gt;, November 1977 & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; 180g Vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Newly remastered with Waits/Brennan & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side A: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. It's a celebration of life in the face of death, honoring our lost musical heroes, from David Berman to John Prine to Judee Sill to Bill Withers, embracing the joy and solace they brought to our lives and honoring their memory. SHORE is an object levitating between the magnetic fields of the past and the future. & quot; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;The album was recorded in upstate New York at Aaron Dessner's Long Pond Studio, in Paris at Studios St. Germain, in Los Angeles at the legendary Vox, in Long Island City at Diamond Mine, and New York City's Electric Lady. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;Fleet Foxes' self-titled debut made a profound impact on the international musical landscape, earning them Uncut's first ever Music Award Prize and a spot in Rolling Stone's 100 Best Albums of the 2000s. The follow-up album Helplessness Blues was met with the same critical praise as it's predecessor (MOJO, Pitchfork's Best New Music) and earned them a GRAMMY nomination. Both Fleet Foxes and Helplessness Blues are certified Gold in the US. The band's third studio album Crack-Up, released in 2017, charted #9 on the Billboard Top 200. Fleet Foxes have sold over 2 million records in the US. Large vinyl fanbase with over 50% of their sales coming from physical configurations. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.pitchfork.com & quot; & gt; The album is bright and open, recalling, at times, the sunniness of their early songs, as well as the lighter moments of 2017's Crack-Up, like 'Fool's Errand.' Instead of turning away from major-key melodies and blissful vocal harmonies, Pecknold leans into musical happiness on songs like 'Sunblind' and 'Young Man's Game,' among the most jubilant entries in the band's catalog. & lt;footer & gt; -Matthew Strauss, Pitchfork, 8.3/10 & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.consequenceofsound.net & quot; & gt; Altogether grand, sobering, and inspiring, Shore flows much like Fleet Foxes' everlasting early work and might just be their best album since those days. & lt;footer & gt; -Lake Schatz, Consequence of Sound Top 50 Albums Of 2020 - Rated 32/50 & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.pastemagazine.com & quot; & gt; There are several elements that make a Fleet Foxes album great. Layered vocals, daring instrumental swells and vibrant, at times anxious, lyrics are all present throughout their catalogue, from the assured folk-pop of their 2008 self-titled debut to the magnificent existential ramblings on 2017's Crack-Up. These signifiers are all present on their new album Shore, but the effects are much more nuanced. Fleet Foxes remain a quintessential millennial band, and, on Shore - which dropped with only a day's warning - they're once again tapping into the millennial psyche, this time with a little more optimism. & lt;footer & gt; -Ellen Johnson, Paste Magazine The 50 Best Albums Of 2020 - Rated 27/50 & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.rollingstone.com & quot; & gt; It may be the prettiest version yet of his finely wrought soft-rock pastoralism - from the sky-kissing sweep of 'Young Man's Game' to the sublime acoustic tune 'I'm Not My Season.' The most moving moments pay tribute to departed musical heroes, from David Berman of the Silver Jews to Nick Drake and Otis Redding, and time and again Shore believably connects Pecknold's own musical vision with the eternal. & lt;footer & gt; -Rolling Stone, The 50 Best Albums of 2020, Rated 17/50 & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.theabsolutesound.com & quot; & gt; The 55-minute equivalent of putting a seashell next to your ear to access the calming effects of the ocean, Shore succeeds at stemming the underlying storms brewing within us all. In essence, Fleet Foxes have enacted a deeper, zen-tastic 21st-century upgrade to yacht rock. & lt;footer & gt; -Mike Mettler, The Absolute Sound, January 2021, Music 4/5, Sonics 4/5 & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;a name= & quot;SS & quot; & gt; & lt;/a & gt; & lt;iframe width= & quot;560 & quot; height= & quot;315 & quot; src= & quot;https://www.youtube.com/embed/L2E2DpWO3-Y & quot; frameborder= & quot;0 & quot; allowfullscreen & gt; & lt;/iframe & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;180g Vinyl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Double LP & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Double Gatefold & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Poster & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Wading In Waist-High Water & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Sunblind & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Can I Believe You & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Jara & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Featherweight & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;A Long Way Past The Past & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;For A Week Or Two & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Maestranza & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Young Man's Game & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;I'm Not My Season & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Quiet Air / Gioia & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Going-To-The-Sun Road & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Thymia & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Cradling Mother, Cradling Woman & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Shore & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

& lt;header & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;2013 Live Set From Americana Duo On Double LP! & lt;br & gt; Remastered & amp; Available On Vinyl For The First Time! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;/header & gt; & lt;p & gt;The Milk Carton Kids are releasing the live album Live From Lincoln Theatre, for the first time on vinyl. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;Comprised of singers and acoustic guitar players Joey Ryan and Kenneth Pattengale, The Milk Carton Kids both filmed and recorded their set at this Columbus, Ohio theatre in October 2013 during their tour in support of the Grammy-nominated album The Ash & amp; Clay. Released as a film in 2014, the newly remastered audio will now be available on vinyl. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt; & quot;Live From Lincoln Theatre is the truest representation of what Joey and I have been up to for the last decade, & quot; & lt;/strong & gt; Pattengale explains. & lt;strong & gt; & quot;The set list is like a greatest hits album of Milk Carton Kids songs. I've never played guitar in the studio quite the way that it comes together on stage. Our voices also communicate something extra for the occasion. And, of course, Joey doesn't ramble about our master recordings, but there's no stopping him once the lights are dim and the mics are hot. & quot; & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;Founded in 2011, The Milk Carton Kids swiftly emerged as a major force in the American folk tradition, blending ethereal harmonies and intricate musicianship with a uniquely powerful brand of contemporary songcraft. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;quote source & quot; & gt; Tastefully arranged, high-spec country-folk introspection & lt;footer & gt; -MOJO & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;quote source & quot; & gt; The band's core ingredients - not to mention a gift for warm, intricate songcraft render The Milk Carton Kids' records practically irresistible. & lt;footer & gt; -NPR Music & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;Double LP & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Remastered audio & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;First time on vinyl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Gatefold jacket & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side A: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Almost Halloween In Columbus & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Hope Of A Lifetime & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;For The Sake Of Brevity & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;The Ash & amp; Clay & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Honey...Honey & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Honey, Honey & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Ageing & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Years Gone By & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side B: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Kenneth's Daughter & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Charlie & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Maybe It's Time & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Second Fiddle & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Girls, Gather 'Round & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side C: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Michigan & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Ampersand / Notary Public & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Snake Eyes & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Heaven & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side D: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Stealing Romance & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;I Still Want A Little More & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;New York & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Memphis & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

Danny Elfman Big Mess 2LP (Black/White Explosion & Opaque Sky Blue Vinyl)
& lt;header & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;First Solo Album In More Than 30 Years On Double LP! & lt;br & gt; Presented On Stunning Black/White Explosion & amp; Opaque Sky Blue Color Vinyl! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;/header & gt; & lt;p & gt;Big Mess marks Elfman's first solo collection in more than thirty years, but it's no return to form. Clocking in at 18 tracks, the sprawling, ambitious double album finds the Grammy and Emmy Award-winning composer breaking bold new ground as both a writer and a performer, drawing on a dystopian palette of distorted electric guitars, industrial synthesizers and orchestra in an effort to exorcise the demons brought about by four years of creeping fascism and civil rot. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;The songs here call to mind everything from Nine Inch Nails, to David Bowie to XTC at times, balancing dense, harmonically complex arrangements with biting, acerbic wit as they reckon with the chaos and confusion of the modern world. Elfman wrote almost all of the record during quarantine, and while the anger, frustration, and isolation of it all is palpable in his delivery, Big Mess is about more than simply blowing off steam. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;In making the space to truly sit with his emotions and write without limitations, Elfman achieved a kind of artistic liberation on the record that had been eluding him for decades, rediscovering his voice and reinventing himself all at once in the process. Born and raised in southern California, Elfman began his career as part of a surrealist, avant-garde musical theater troupe known as The Mystic Knights of Oingo Boingo. The group would eventually morph into the critically acclaimed rock band Oingo Boingo, whose high-energy performances and genre-bending sound garnered them a fanatically devoted cult following in the 1980s and '90s. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;Among the group's early fans was fledgling director Tim Burton and Paul Reubens (aka Pee-wee Herman), who enlisted Elfman to score their first feature film, Pee-wee's Big Adventure. The collaboration would prove to be the start of a long and fruitful partnership for Elfman and Burton, with Elfman going on to score a string of iconic Burton features like Batman, Beetlejuice, Big Fish, Edward Scissorhands, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. To date, Elfman has scored more than 100 films. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.allmusic.com & quot; & gt; The album opens with feedback, a power chord, and a drum fill on 'Sorry,' an ominous rock track. Its components include choir-like backing vocals and a wall of sound constructed of electric guitars, synths, strings, and mallet percussion, all under a steadily intensifying, explicitly worded vocal that includes sentiments like 'I can't breathe while you're alive...and I'm so sorry that I didn't die.' That sets the tone for many of the album's 18 tracks, though Elfman varies tempo, topic, and approach throughout what is a well-sequenced, adventurous set. & lt;footer & gt; -Marcy Donelson, AllMusic.com, 4/5 stars & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;a name= & quot;SS & quot; & gt; & lt;/a & gt; & lt;iframe width= & quot;560 & quot; height= & quot;315 & quot; src= & quot;https://www.youtube.com/embed/X2NARGrx3uM & quot; frameborder= & quot;0 & quot; allowfullscreen & gt; & lt;/iframe & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;Double LP & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;LP1 - Black/White Explosion Color Vinyl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;LP2 - Opaque Sky Blue Color Vinyl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;1st Solo Album Since 1984 & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Triple gatefold jacket & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Explicit Content & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Disk 1 & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;h5 & gt;Side A: & lt;/h5 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Sorry & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;True & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;In Time & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Everybody Loves You & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h5 & gt;Side B: & lt;/h5 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Dance With The Lemurs & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Serious Grounds & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Choose Your Side & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;We Belong & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Disk 2 & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;h5 & gt;Side C: & lt;/h5 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Happy & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Just A Human & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Devil Take Away & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Love In The Time Of Covid & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Native Intelligence & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h5 & gt;Side D: & lt;/h5 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Better Times & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Cruel Compensation & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Kick Me & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Get Over It & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Insects & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

The Dream Syndicate How Did I Find Myself Here? LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Seminal Indie Rock Band's First Album Since 1988! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The Dream Syndicate are at the foundation of contemporary alternative music because back in 1981 at a time when most bands were experimenting with new technology, they chose to bring back the guitar. Their seminal album The Days of Wine and Roses (1982) has been cited as influential by artists from Nirvana to the Black Crowes. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Formed in Los Angeles in 1981, the Dream Syndicate was founded by current members Steve Wynn (guitar, vocals) and Dennis Duck (drums), along with Karl Precoda (guitar) and Kendra Smith (bass). With its widely celebrated 1982 debut The Days of Wine and Roses, the band soon emerged at the forefront of the 1980s college-rock scene. Known for their incredible live performances, the band toured with everyone from REM to U2, before splitting up in 1988. In 2012 after years apart in solo projects, front man Steve Wynn reunited The Dream Syndicate to perform at a charity festival in Spain. The reunited band took everything in baby steps. A few shows here and there—including a still talked-about set at Wilco’s Solid Sound Festival. The shows were exciting---for both the band and the eagerly awaiting fans, many of whom weren’t even alive when the band were around the first time. The next step was to see if the excitement and newfound chemistry would extend to the studio. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; From the first day of recording it was apparent that the band was making an album that would live up its history and take their story into the present. Wynn says, & lt;b & gt; & quot;In a way it feels like if The Days of Wine and Roses would have been made in 2017. Which is to say that it's true to what we did before but it's also a whole new thing. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Over the years, the Dream Syndicate has proven to be a massively influential force in the world of alternative rock, with artists like Kurt Cobain listing the band among their inspirations. As Wynn points out, the band itself was greatly influenced by underground pioneers like the Fall, the Gun Club, Neu!, and Big Star. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;I always felt that the Dream Syndicate was largely about receiving, carrying and then passing along a torch of the bands that we loved passionately but who didn't necessarily get the love and attention they deserved, living in the shadows as cult favorites, secret passwords into a society of musical fanaticism and time-delayed impact on generations to come, & lt;/b & gt; & quot; he says. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Now the Dream Syndicate has released the first single and title track from How Did I Find Myself Here? With its heavy grooves, hypnotic guitar work, and gorgeously fractured textures, the 11-minute-plus piece of sprawling psych-rock feels both classic and forward-pushing. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; On the band's website, the group had this to say about their first album in 29 years: & lt;b & gt; & quot;What can we tell you about the new record? Well, let's see. It's true to our history, a bounty of gifts for everyone who's been there since the old days and yet unlike anything we ever did before. It's a post-millennial existential screed that feels like RIGHT NOW and at the same time a timeless joyous thrill ride. It's psychedelic, it's rocking, it's garage, it's classic, it's indie and it's even a soul and jazz record in the most literal sense, a sonic and emotional journey to the deepest recesses of your mind. It's what we do on stage and yet it's brand new. Most of all, we dig it. A lot. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • Vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; • Limited time download card & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Musicians: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Steve Wynn, guitar, vocals & lt;br & gt; Jason Victor, guitar & lt;br & gt; Mark Walton, bass & lt;br & gt; Dennis Duck, drums & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Tom Waits Small Change 180g LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Remastered & amp; Pressed On 180g Vinyl LP By RTI! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;2020 Stereophile Magazine Record to Die For! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; Rhino celebrates Tom Waits by reissuing the singer-songwriter's first four Asylum albums on vinyl. CLOSING TIME, THE HEART OF SATURDAY NIGHT, NIGHTHAWKS AT THE DINER and SMALL CHANGE are presented on 180-gram heavy vinyl and packaged with their original artwork. The LPs are pressed at RTI with mastering supervised by Gavin Lurssen. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.stereophile.com & quot; & gt; The great news is that the remastered sound is miles beyond the lackluster Asylum original. The soundstage literally oozes whiskey and cigarette smoke; this is Waits at his early best, and one of the last clear glimpses of the iconic hipster before he headed down the dark path of the Island years. & lt;footer & gt; -Tom Gibbs, Stereophile Magazine Record To Die For 2020 & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; 180g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Newly remastered with Waits/Brennan & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Pressed at RTI & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Original artwork & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Mastering supervised by Gavin Lurssen & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side One: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Ben Harper Winter Is For Lovers LP (White Vinyl)
& lt;header & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;White Vinyl LP! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;/header & gt; & lt;p & gt;Winter Is For Lovers was a lifetime in the making... a solo lap-steel guitar piece incorporating elements of delta blues, flamenco, and even Satie-like minimalism, this work resonates with lyrical virtuosity, originality and soul. In some ways Winter Is For Lovers is a love letter to Ben Harper's longtime fans who have always revered his guitar virtuosity; it's the record they always wanted him to make. For many other music lovers, this record is a revelation, an unknown side to a celebrated artist showing a sense of meticulousness, depth and music history that will add new dimensions to an already renowned career. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;As a child, before Ben Harper was even playing music, he sat at the feet of folk luminaries like Rev Gary Davis, John Fahey, Ry Cooder and others in his grandparents' Folk Music Center in Claremont, CA, soaking up their influence and passion for pure guitar music. As a teenager, while discovering his own musical gifts, he was repairing guitars and being mentored by many of these artists, most notably, Taj Mahal. While his musical path has taken him to worldwide fame playing rock and roll, and many other idioms, that pure guitar music has always been central to his musical heart. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;Ultimately, Winter Is For Lovers is a very personal statement from Ben Harper, drawing from the bountiful garden of his earliest musical impressions and propelling him into the future with an elegiac masterpiece. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;White Vinyl LP & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Gatefold jacket & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;RIYL: Ry Cooder, Taj Mahal, John Fahey, Robert Johnson & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side A: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Istanbul & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Manhattan & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Joshua Tree & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Inland Empire & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Harlem & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side B: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Lebanon & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;London & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Toronto & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Verona & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Brittany & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Montreal & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Bizanet & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Toronto (Reprise) & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Islip & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Paris & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

Curtis Harding Face Your Fear LP (Vinyl)
& lt;header & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;Retro Soul Singer's Sophomore Album On Vinyl LP! & lt;br & gt; Featuring Vintage R & amp;B/Soul Vibes On & quot;Need Your Love & quot;, & quot;On And On & quot;, & quot;Till The End & quot; & amp; More! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;/header & gt; & lt;p & gt;Curtis Harding could best be described as a student of the gritty, sweat-dripping, hip-swinging blues that wafted through the air of the American sixties. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;The offspring of a mother who sang gospel, and a retired veteran, he traveled all over the country as a child, singing alongside his parents, learning that music was in fact the great communicator, and that the key was not just in how pretty the notes were, but how if you were honest in what you were singing, you could stir a person on the inside. This is what Otis Redding knew. What Sam Cooke, and Bo Diddley, and B. B. King knew. That somehow there was a way to take your experiences, your pain and joy, and give them melody, cause them to live and breathe and massage the hearts and minds of all those who hear. That is what Curtis Harding does on his 2017 album, Face Your Fear. He figures out how to tap into the old soul man of the past without mimicking or bastardizing it, but instead evoking the spirit of the true Soul music of yesterday, meshed with the realities of now. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;With a little production help from his friends Sam Cohen and Danger Mouse, Curtis Harding has put together a collection of tunes that NME described as & lt;strong & gt; & quot;soul-meets-garage pop perfection. & quot; & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.allmusic.com & quot; & gt; Curtis Harding's debut album, 2014's Soul Power, was a strikingly confident work that demonstrated he was one of the smartest and most gifted artists to emerge from the retro-soul scene, a vocalist and songwriter with a respect for the past and a vision of the future. It turns out Harding was just getting started; his second full-length, 2017's Face Your Fear, is an even more ambitious set of material, an exercise in psychedelic soul that feeds from a wide range of sounds and influences while still reflecting the mind and soul of Curtis Harding at every turn. While the production and arrangements on Face Your Fear are clearly informed by classic R & amp;B and funk sounds of the '60s and '70s, along with the trippier edges of psychedelic soul, Harding and his studio collaborators never seem to be reaching for some sort of Northern soul completists mindset; instead, they use the evocative textures of vintage African-American music as a jumping-off point for Harding's heartfelt, street-smart tales of love, regret, family, and the pains and joys of everyday life. Harding is a terrific singer who can deliver full-bodied performances in his normal range (check out 'Need Your Love' and 'Go as You Are' if you need convincing) and also slip into a falsetto that's just the ticket for numbers like 'Ghost of You' and 'Dream Girl.' (He even lets the two play off one another on 'Till the End,' in which he portrays both halves of a combative couple.) Curtis Harding can write and sing like a soul man with a mind of his own, and here he sounds even more open, expressive, and fearless than he did on his very fine debut. Face Your Fear ups the ante for Harding, bumping him from promising newcomer to major artist, and if you like good songs played and sung with true conviction, you won't want to sleep on this. & lt;footer & gt; -Mark Deming, AllMusic & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;a name= & quot;SS & quot; & gt; & lt;/a & gt; & lt;iframe width= & quot;560 & quot; height= & quot;315 & quot; src= & quot;https://www.youtube.com/embed/3_EvOa_A7-Y & quot; frameborder= & quot;0 & quot; allowfullscreen & gt; & lt;/iframe & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;a name= & quot;SS & quot; & gt; & lt;/a & gt; & lt;iframe width= & quot;560 & quot; height= & quot;315 & quot; src= & quot;https://www.youtube.com/embed/9o1W4IXH0wc & quot; frameborder= & quot;0 & quot; allowfullscreen & gt; & lt;/iframe & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;Vinyl LP & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Gatefold jacket & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Wednesday Morning Atonement & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Face Your Fear & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;On And On & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Go As You Are & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Till The End & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Need Your Love & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Dream Girl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Welcome To My World & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Ghost Of You & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Need My Baby & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;As I Am & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

Instead, & lt;strong & gt;his songs convey an eclectic blend of genres & lt;/strong & gt; leaping from the many musical lives he has lived from following his evangelical Gospel-singing mother on tour around the country as a child to rapping in Atlanta, forming a garage band with The Black Lips' Cole Alexander to singing back-up for Cee Lo Green. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;Through these experiences he fully embraces life's darkest intricacies and conjures & lt;strong & gt;dynamic, addictive melodies & lt;/strong & gt;. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;Written and recorded over the past two tumultuous years, If Words Were Flowers is indeed a vibrant, intoxicating bouquet, one as diverse as it is dazzling. & lt;strong & gt;Drawing on vintage soul, R & amp;B, hip-hop, garage rock, and psychedelia, the songs here are raw and gritty, fueled by airtight grooves, punchy horns, and adventurous production & lt;/strong & gt; from Harding and frequent collaborator Sam Cohen (Kevin Morby, Benjamin Booker). There's a clear through line on the album from Harding's 2017 breakout, Face Your Fear, but there's obvious evolution as well, a boldness that revels in risk-taking and sonic exploration. & lt;strong & gt;The result is a pointed, timely album that feels experimental and classic all at once & lt;/strong & gt;, a moving, generous collection all about love, resilience, and reconciliation from an artist who values the beauty and the power of human connection above all else. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.allmusic.com & quot; & gt; Harding's third LP, 2021's If Words Were Flowers, finds him going from strength to strength, with a set of tunes that deliver an emotional impact while finding him continuing to stretch his musical boundaries. The rich bass, echo-laden guitars, and layers of percussion are familiar from his previous releases, and Harding and producer Sam Cohen have added lush string and horn arrangements and massed vocals on several numbers that boost the atmospherics, reinforce the psychedelic undertow of the melodies, and give the music a feeling of thematic unity that adds to the effectiveness of the material, individually and as a suite. Much of If Words Were Flowers was written and recorded during a time of unrest and uncertainty in the United States, and without calling out specific political and social themes by name, it plays very much as a product of its time, with Harding using love as a metaphor to discuss human understanding and compassion as well as its absence (especially on the cool but impassioned 'Where Is the Love'). The arrangements often nod to the conscious funk and soul anthems of the late '60s and early '70s, both in their taught grooves and the mingled moods of hope and confusion. And Harding continues to impress as a vocalist, delivering strong, authoritative, and perceptive performances on all eleven tracks. & lt;footer & gt; -Mark Deming, AllMusic.com, 4/5 stars (The AllMusic 2021 Year In Review - Best Of 2021) & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;a name= & quot;SS & quot; & gt; & lt;/a & gt; & lt;iframe width= & quot;560 & quot; height= & quot;315 & quot; src= & quot;https://www.youtube.com/embed/btkV1YFnro4 & quot; frameborder= & quot;0 & quot; allowfullscreen & gt; & lt;/iframe & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;a name= & quot;SS & quot; & gt; & lt;/a & gt; & lt;iframe width= & quot;560 & quot; height= & quot;315 & quot; src= & quot;https://www.youtube.com/embed/vIxrC3rkY9Q & quot; frameborder= & quot;0 & quot; allowfullscreen & gt; & lt;/iframe & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;Vinyl LP & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Explicit Content & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side A: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;If Words Were Flowers & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Hopeful & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Can't Hide It & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;With You & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Explore & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side B: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Where's The Love & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;The One & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;So Low & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Forever More & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;It's A Wonder & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;I Won't Let You Down & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

Mavis Staples Live In London 2LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Live Performance On Double LP w/Etching On 4th Side! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Mavis Staples has been a soul and gospel music legend for more than 50 years. Her work fronting the legendary Staples Singers defined the sound of politically-committed soul and influenced generations of musicians. As a solo artist in her own right, she has helped to define much of what is righteous and soulful in American music. There are few people who can claim to have been performing as long as Mavis Staples, let alone to her standards. This album captures her live at the Union Chapel in London with her band performing some of the greatest songs from her musical catalog, while celebrating her 79th birthday. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The focus of this collection is material she has recorded since signing with ANTI- Records in 2007. In recent years, Staples has had songs written for her by iconoclastic artists like Nick Cave, Neko Case, and Merrill Garbus (Tune-Yards); collaborated with modern rock powerhouses Arcade Fire, Gorillaz, and Hozier; and recorded multiple albums working with Jeff Tweedy from Wilco. & quot;I've stretched out—I'm singing songs that rock stars have written for me, & quot; says Staples, & quot;but they know me and the kind of songs I want to sing. & quot; She points to the opening song on Live in London, & quot;Love And Trust & quot;, which was composed by Ben Harper. & quot;I love that song, it's a beauty, & quot; she says. & quot;I've been sending a message of love and trust since the Sixties, and I'm still searching for that. & quot; Mixed in with these newer songs (and & quot;Let's Do It Again & quot;, which she notes is & quot;the only secular song that the Staple Singers ever recorded & quot;) are a few selections chosen just to bring the funk—Funkadelic's & quot;Can You Get To That & quot; and & quot;Slippery People & quot; by Talking Heads. & quot;We drop those songs in just to kinda spice things up, & quot; she says. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;Spellbinding and ass-kicking ... There is no sound on earth more joyful than Mavis Staples singing. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - NME & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award Winner & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Rock & amp; Roll Hall of Famer & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Kennedy Center Honoree & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; National Heritage Fellowship Award Recipient & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Double LP & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; 3 sides of music & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; 4th side etching & lt;br & gt; & amp;bull; Gatefold jacket & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;br & gt; Side 1: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1.
