In a terrific twist of fate, Carin Luna-Ostaseski came to love Whisky through…a break-up. While going through a breakup, Fridays after work she would go to her local whiskey shop, where she spent her the money she no longer needed for "couples counseling" on a few nice bottles of Scotch instead, eventually amassing a collection of over 300 bottles. She began hosting her own tasting events, and discovered people were ready for a new type of Scotch that was approachable, affordable and delicious, and SIA was born.

SIA Scotch gives back, donating 1% of gross sales to organizations and charities that help female entrepreneurs start and run their own businesses.
