The Young Rascals Once Upon A Dream 150g LP (Vinyl)
Once Upon A Dream was a complete departure from anything the band had done up to that point. With a cover and photo booklet designed by Dino, the album features an impressive array of studio musicians, plus the most elaborate brass and string arrangements ever heard on any Rascals album to date. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Highlights included the beautiful pop masterpieces Silly Girl, Rainy Day, and My Hawaii. Eddie's brother David also made a contribution to the album, singing lead on the beautiful title track, Once Upon A Dream. At this point, the group dropped the & quot;Young & quot; from their name and were now officially known as The Rascals. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Selections: Easy RollinÂ’, Rainy Day, Please Love Me, ItÂ’s Wonderful, IÂ’m Gonna Love You, My Hawaii, My World, Silly Girl, SinginÂ’ The Blues Too Long, Sattva, Finale: One Upon A Dream.

NRBQ Workshop LP (Vinyl)
The wildly eclectic New Rhythm & amp; Blues Quintet, better known to its worldwide legion of adoring fans as NRBQ (or just the Q!), is the only band on the planet that can play rockabilly, bar-band blooze, Beatles sound-alikes and Sun Ra-style free jazz in the same set and remain standing. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The Q immediately followed their second album Scraps with 1973’s equally terrific Workshop. Gadler had departed, reducing the Quintet to its customary foursome (natch!), but the band never missed a beat with an album that featured the hypnotically chugging “Come On If You’re Coming,” the mouth-watering “RC Cola and a Moon Pie” and the ultra-prophetic “Get That Gasoline Blues.” & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Features: & lt;br & gt; • High Quality Vinyl & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Musicians: & lt;br & gt; Terry Adams, keyboard & lt;br & gt; Joey Spampinato, bass & lt;br & gt; Tom Staley, drums & lt;br & gt; Al Anderson, guitar & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. The Soma Records Story Volume 1 Shake It For Me! 150g LP (Vinyl)
The record world was a completely different place in 1965. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Kids wanting to take home a piece of the rock 'n' roll action they frugged to at the Armory dance last weekend or a wild tune they heard the local bossjocks spin on the way home from school, inevitably had to deal with seven-inchers made by independent record labels. The single was the thing in the mid-60's, not the album. In even the hippest big city record emporiums, you could thumb through the entire recorded canon of British Invasion-influenced LPs - no more than a hundred or so - in about five minutes. But, ahhh, those singles. And nobody did them better than the shoebox companies sprouting up like bread mold all over the country, labels who could tap into the best local talent and get their show-stopping songs into the local record shops. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br. Just about every sector of the US had its own scene, red hot local chart entries that kids three hundred miles away were destined to never hear. And that's why the legendary indie labels - from International Artists in Houston or Autumn in San Francisco to Dunwich in Chicago or Etiquette in Tacoma - and hundreds more just as groovy, are revered today more than ever. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The Soma Record Company of Minneapolis caught the national spotlight by releasing hits from the likes of the Castaways and the Gestures. But & quot;Liar Liar & quot; and & quot;Run, Run, Run & quot; are just the tip ofthe iceberg. If you've always suspected that thousands of great singles from the '60s that you've yet to hear are lurking in the bushes, guess what? You're right. Step into the dusty Soma vaults with us - brush aside those cobwebs, if you would - point your flashlight towards the strobelight flickering at the far end of the tunnel and keep walking. When the cool Fender 'n Farfisa sounds finally grab you by the shirt collar, just keep telling yourself: & quot; This isn't a dream. It's what I was born to do. & quot; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. The Deacons: Empty Heart & lt;br & gt; 2. The Chancellors: Yo Yo & lt;br & gt; 3. The Underbeats: Shake It For Me & lt;br & gt; 4. The Castaways: Goodbye Babe & lt;br & gt; 5. Dudley & amp; The Doo Rytes: U.F.O. & lt;br & gt; 6. The Titans: The NoPlace Special & lt;br & gt; 7. The Four Wheels: Cold 45 & lt;br & gt; 8. The Chancellors: Charlie Brown & lt;br & gt; 9. The Boys Next Door: Suddenly She Was Gone & lt;br & gt; 10. The Embermen: Fat Girl & lt;br & gt; 11. The Gestures: I'm Not Mad & lt;br & gt; 12. Sir Winston & amp; The Commons: We're Gonna Love & lt;br & gt; 13. The Torres: Ride On & lt;br & gt; 14. Leonard Cohen Songs Of Love And Hate 150g LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums of All Time - Rated 295/500! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; By the time Leonard Cohen began his recording career in 1967, the iconoclastic Canadian troubadour was already well established as a poet and author. He quickly emerged as one of the era's most original and influential singer-songwriters, building a large and legendary body of work that continues to inspire artists and listeners alike. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Much of Cohen's reputation and mystique was established by his early work for Columbia Records, particularly the five albums he recorded between 1967 and 1974. Now, these five classic albums have been lovingly restored to their original LP format. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; For their new Sundazed editions, all five albums have been meticulously remastered and have been sourced from the original Columbia Records stereo masters in order to preserve the sound of the original albums. In keeping with the exacting standards for which Sundazed has become known, each album is pressed on high-definition vinyl, with complete original cover art. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; This vinyl edition of this historic album marks a crucial addition to the Leonard Cohen catalog. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; With 1971's Songs of Love and Hate, Cohen delivered one of his most emotionally intense sets, with such memorable numbers as & quot;Avalanche & quot;, & quot;Famous Blue Raincoat & quot; and & quot;Joan of Arc & quot; ranking with his greatest compositions. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Features: & lt;br & gt; • High Definition Vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; • Remastered from original Columbia Records stereo masters & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. The Monkees The Monkees 150g LP (Vinyl)
The 1960's: The Monkees debut album hits stores on October 10th, 1966 so by the time this hit record landed into music stores, there was already a buzz over them. Their shows had already had huge ratings, they had a hit single, and were climbing aboard their first hit concert tour. So it's no wonder this album sold millions! & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Most of the music featured on the first Monkees album had little to do with the four boys. The best studio musicians and song writers were behind this LP. This would later upset the four boys but regardless of the fact that it has been documented to death that they did not play their own instruments (which they did) this proves to be one of their best albums. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Micky Dolenz makes a huge debut as a vocalist here with several awesome songs. He first sings lead on the unforgettable & quot;Theme From The Monkees. & quot; He also sings the #1 hit & quot;Last Train To Clarksville. & quot;. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; There are no bad songs really and if you are fan of the show you will love this! It rather is a disappointment that Peter was not really part of this album. Although he is featured on the cover he did little in the recording sessions. The other bad thing is that the Monkees do not play their instruments on this album but none the less this is probably the third or fourth best Monkees album. Definetly worth getting! & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. (Theme From) The Monkees & lt;br & gt; 2. Saturday's Child & lt;br & gt; 3. I Wanna Be Free & lt;br & gt; 4. Tomorrow's Gonna Be Another Day & lt;br & gt; 5. Papa Gene's Blues & lt;br & gt; 6. Take A Giant Step & lt;br & gt; 7. Johnny Cash Blood, Sweat And Tears 150g LP (Vinyl)
With his Presley-like mystique, a strapping baritone voice and songs with universal lunch bucket appeal, Johnny Cash reached one of many career high-water marks with his sprawling 1963 epic, Blood, Sweat And Tears. From the perspiration-drenched, eight-minute version of & quot; The Legend Of John Henry's Hammer & quot; to & quot;Busted, & quot; Harlan Howard's down 'n' out hard-luck story, Cash made everything he recorded sound like it had been written just for him. This exact replica of Cash's 1963 classic--on High Quality 150g Sundazed vinyl--shows Cash once again straddling the worlds of country, folk and pop like a black-clad behemoth: a once-in-a-generation artist whose revered work will live on forever. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Exact repro of Johnny Cash's 1963 masterpiece, follows the release of our mightily-successful Johnny Cash - Live at Town Hall Party titles. Incredible String Band Incredible String Band 150g LP (Vinyl)
If any musical combo ever meshed perfectly with the times it was the Incredible String Band. And hereÂ’s the proof: their 1966 debut, The Incredible String Band on deep-grooved, 150-gram vinyl. The wildly eclectic Scottish folk outfit, with the airy vocals and & lt;br & gt; fretboard prowess of Robin Williamson and Mike Heron as its two constants, began life resurrecting wondrous and ancient Celtic ballads, then was transformed by the perfumed winds of 1967Â’s psychedelic revolution to add sitar, oud, gimbri and all manner of exotic axes to its arsenal. The result is a gently mesmerizing psychedelia and anti-folk stance, consummate counterpoint to current psych heroes like Mogwai and Beachwood Sparks, that makes perfectly clear why the Incredible String Band remains just that: Incredible! & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Sly & The Family Stone Stand! LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums of All Time - Rated 121/500! & lt;br & gt;Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Songs of All Time - & quot;Stand! & quot; - Rated 244/500! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Nothing said it better than the title of Sly & amp; The Family Stone's 1967 debut album. They were, indeed, A Whole New Thing! Over his first six groundbreaking Epic LPs, Sly Stone - a maverick studio genius who heard things nobody else did - turned the worlds of Soul, R & amp;B, funk and psychedelia completely upside-down with his breathtakingly innovative band, the Family Stone. Pop music was shaken to its very core by this racially-mixed aggregation of men and women whose lyrics, deftly laced with political and social commentary, were woven through groovy rhythms and infectious melodies that made standing still virtually impossible. Even their clothes were mind-bendingly cool! & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; By the time the Family Stone’s fourth album was released in 1969, the dam had burst: They were full-fledged rock stars! No fewer than four tracks from Stand! were certified national smashes, led by the euphoria-producing “I Want to Take You Higher” and Sly’s heroic, rainbow-coalition-evoking plea for racial tolerance, the unforgettable “Everyday People.” At the time, “People” seemed like the apocalyptic blast from Gabriel’s trumpet, waking the world to the beginning of a Brand New Day. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;A greatest-hits album in all but name, Stand! is party politics at its most inclusive and exciting — singer-leader Sly Stone at the top of his ecumenical-funk game. A DJ and producer in San Francisco during the Dawn of Hippie, Stone fortifies that utopian energy with the bonfire momentum of the civil-rights movement in motivational-soul sermons such as & quot;Stand! & quot; and & quot; You Can Make It if You Try & quot; without denying the divisions that threatened civil war ( & quot;Don't Call Me Nigger, Whitey & quot;). And let's give due respect to the biracial, bi-gender Family Stone, whose rainbow thump here was a big influence on P-Funk and the electric Miles Davis. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - www.rollingstone.com & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot; The title song from Stone's classic black-rock LP became a civil rights anthem. But when a test pressing got a muted reaction on San Francisco radio, Stone added the funky coda, played by what his A & amp;R man Stephen Paley called 'old-men horn players,' since the Family was unavailable. 'He wrote out parts for the horn players and even passed out W-4 forms,' said Paley. 'He was that together.' & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - Rolling Stone & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Features: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; • High-Definition Vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. The Jeff Beck Group Beck-Ola 150g LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Now available on pristine high-definition vinyl, sourced from the original analog UK master. Featuring Rod Stewart on vocals! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Jeff Beck, as visionary a guitarist, in his own way, as Jimi Hendrix, certainly heads anyone's list of most exciting rock'n'roll fretboard whizzes ever. Beck made his name as the second of three hall of fame stringbenders for the equally legendary Yardbirds (following in the shoes of Eric Clapton and preceding the pre-Zep Jimmy Page). & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Known for his blistering leads and the wild chances he took as one of the first axemen to widely employ feedback during a solo, Beck hit the ground running when he left the Yardbirds in 1967 and would cut a pair of solo albums that didn't miss a beat from the greatness of his previous work. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; A year after Truth, Jeff Beck returned with the even thicker sound of Beck-Ola, an album that was so heavy you could use it for a refrigerator door. The original personnel of the Jeff Beck Group was only enhanced by the terrific keyboard work of storied session man supreme, Nicky Hopkins. Like its predecessor, Beck-Ola made you feel like you'd just been run over by an eight-wheeled streetsweeper - but you liked it! & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt;Rod Stewart on vocals, Ron Wood on bass, Nicky Hopkins on keyboards and Tony Newman on drums, Beck delivers some of the most mind-blowing fretwork of his career. The Young Rascals Groovin' 150g LP (Vinyl)
Perhaps no other band personified & quot;blue-eyed soul & quot; in the 60's more than the Rascals. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Formed in 1964 when vocalist/organist Felix Cavaliere, guitarist Gene Cornish and vocalist Eddie Brigati left Joey Dee and the Starliters and recruited drummer Dino Danelli, the Rascals, along with artists such as Joe Cocker, the Righteous Brothers and Van Morrison, helped bring traditionally black soul music to a mainstream white audience. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The band was signed to Atlantic Records in 1965 as the Rascals, but their first releases were as the Young Rascals, due to another band's similar name. In 1968 the band was able to drop the & quot;Young & quot; from its name. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Their first single, & quot;I Ain't Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore, & quot; did well on the charts, but it was their second single, an uptempo remake of the Olympics' & quot;Good Lovin' & quot; that broke the band. The song went to No. 1 in 1966. The band continued to pump out hits in the following years, including & quot; You Better Run, & quot; & quot;I've Been Lonely Too Long & quot; and their next No. 1 hit, & quot;Groovin'. & quot; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & quot;Groovin', & quot; released in 1967, marked a change in the Rascals' style, with more of the mellow, psychedelic-era influence coming through. The Rascals' biggest hit was in a similar vein. 1968's & quot;People Got to Be Free & quot; was an impassioned response to the assassinations of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert Kennedy. The single topped the charts for five weeks. After the success of & quot;People Got to Be Free, & quot; the Rascals began to experiment with jazz and instrumentals. The result was not successful, and in 1970, Brigati, the band's primary lyricist, left the band, followed by Cornish in 1971. Cavaliere and Danelli kept the Rascals going a little longer with other musicians but gave up in 1972. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; In 1996 the Rascals were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. At the induction ceremony the band reunited on stage to play & quot;Good Lovin', & quot; & quot;Groovin', & quot; & quot; How Can I Be Sure & quot; and & quot;People Got To Be Free. & quot; - Rolling Stone & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Selections: A Girl Like You, Find Somebody, IÂ’m So Happy Now, Sueno, How Can I Be Sure, GroovinÂ’, If You Knew, I DonÂ’t Love You Anymore, You Better Run, A Place In The Sun, ItÂ’s Love.

Hello, I'm Johnny Cash & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Those four words resonate throughout the world much as & quot;In God We Trust & quot; and other familiar phrases which have stood the test of time. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Yet the introduction is no more necessary than telling someone the name of the Mona Lisa when viewing the painting. Johnny Cash is a household name, and his career spans nearly five decades. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Few artists in history have enjoyed the successful career Cash has. Many people describe him as a mythical, larger than life figure. Others describe him as one of the greatest recording artists of all time. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Yet there is no one description which adequately fits The Man In Black. He’s a complex, unpredictable, ball of talent and energy that no one has ever been able to pigeonhole or categorize. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; First time on vinyl, the birth of country cool! The Johnny Cash you hear on this remarkable live performances is not the venerable legend of today. This was the young, feral Cash, full of piss, vinegar and sly orneriness. Even to those who know every note, joke and guitar lick on Johnny Cash At Folsom Prison or San Quentin, hearing Cash in his prime, aided and abetted by the Tennessee Two, guitarist Luther Perkins and bassist Marshall Grant, is a revelation, & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; This historic document sourced directly from the 1958 kinescope reels, capture Cash in his most revolutionary days, laying the bedrock of all that was to come and, despite age and infirmities, continues today. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Features: & lt;br & gt; • 150g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. & lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums of All Time - Rated 171/500! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt;Featured in Michael Fremer's Heavy Rotation in the May 2006 Issue of Stereophile! & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Unavailable for over 35 years, we're proud to present the first ever reissues of these monumental recordings in their original, highly-sought-after mono incarnations, cut from the original Columbia Records analog mono masters, with perfect artwork restoration and meticulously faithful mastering. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Boy they could really churn albums out in those days! “The Notorious Byrd Brothers” was the Byrds fifth album in just 3 years. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Notorious is perfectly sequenced from beginning to end and is probably their most cohesive album release ever. Also they lost David Crosby after this album so this was the last chance to catch the original line-up. Contains the brilliant Goin’ Back and a bunch of other gems. A bigger hit in the UK (No.12 April ’68) than the U.S. first time around. A collectors classic that should be on everyone’s shelves! & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot; While recording their fifth album, Byrds guitarist David Crosby was fired and drummer Michael Clarke quit. According to legend, for the album-cover photo, the band erased Crosby's face — and replaced him with a horse. But despite the internal drama, the Byrds made Notorious a warm, gentle comedown for Sixties children facing up to the morning after the Summer of Love. The sound is melancholic but friendly, blending spacey studio effects and Moog synthesizers with guitars, strings and horns to build the elegiac mood of & quot;Draft Morning & quot; and & quot;Goin' Back & quot; as well as the optimistic surge of & quot;Dolphin's Smile & quot; and & quot;Natural Harmony. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - www.rollingstone.com & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Features: & lt;br & gt; • 150g Mono LP & lt;br & gt; • Exact Repro & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Sly & The Family Stone A Whole New Thing LP (Vinyl)
Nothing said it better than the title of Sly & amp; The Family Stone's 1967 debut album. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1967’s A Whole New Thing lays the funky ’n powerful groundwork for a revolutionary concept that ranks right up there with the pioneering studio work of the Beatles and Brian Wilson. The tunes take unexpected, neck-snapping turns, and Sly's lyrics are anything but your average pop fodder. And nobody used horns as effectively as Sly Stone! & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Features: & lt;br & gt; • High-Definition Vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Otis Redding & Carla Thomas King & Queen 150g LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt;Featured in Michael Fremer's Heavy Rotation in the August 2001 Issue of Stereophile! & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Otis Redding & amp; Carla Thomas recorded one album together, but it is an R & amp;B gem. Motown started the duet album trend by pairing Marvin Gaye with Mary Wells, Kim Weston & amp; most famously Tammi Terrell, so this was Stax/Volt's rebuttal. The album is made up of mostly covers, but Mr. Redding & amp; Ms. Thomas attack the songs with a ferocity and verve that makes them sound all there own. Mr. Redding's smooth voice easily mingles with the sass of Ms. Thomas' and this is no better illustrated than on & quot;Tramp & quot; which is pure Southern Soul. They do a tender take on Sam & amp; Dave's & quot; When Something Is Wrong With My Baby & quot; and Aaron Neville's & quot;Tell It Like It Is & quot; while ripping it up on Eddie Floyd's & quot;Knock On Wood & quot; & amp; & quot;Lovey Dovey & quot;. It is interesting to hear them do the Gaye/Weston song & quot;It Takes Two & quot; as there is always was a rivalry between Motown & amp; Stax/Volt. King & amp; Queen was a boastful title and the two more than live up to the claim. - Thomas Magnum & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Selections: Knock On Wood, Let Me Be Good To You, Tramp, Tell It Like It Is, When Something Is Wrong With My Baby, Lovey Dovey, New YearÂ’s Resolution, It Takes Two, Are You Lonely For Me Baby, Bring It On Home To Me, Ooh Carla, Ooh Otis.

Combining fuzz-tinged pop and pastoral baroque-folk with the duo's heavenly harmonies, Paul Simon's heady wordplay and some imaginatively layered production touches, the album features such Simon and Garfunkel standards as & quot;Homeward Bound & quot;, & quot;Scarborough Fair & quot; and & quot;The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy) & quot;. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Sundazed's exact vinyl replica of this harmony-rich classic is sourced from the original stereo master tapes, making this an essential component of any '60s pop/rock collection. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Features: & lt;br & gt; • Exact Vinyl replica & lt;br & gt; • 150g LP & lt;br & gt; • Sourced from original stereo master tapes & lt;br & gt; • High Definition Vinyl & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Mike Bloomfield & Al Kooper Live Adventures Of Mike BLoomfield & Al Kooper 150g 2LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt;Featured in Michael Fremer's Heavy Rotation in the October 2009 Issue of Stereophile! & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; In the wake of the success of their seminal 1968 Super Session album, blues-steeped guitar hero Mike Bloomfield (formerly of the Butterfield Blues Band and the Electric Flag) and multi-talented keyboardist/singer Al Kooper (ex-Blues Project and Blood, Sweat and Tears) teamed up again for a historic series of joint performances at San Francisco's legendary Fillmore West, which are documented on The Live Adventures of Mike Bloomfield and Al Kooper. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The resulting live album, culled from three nights' worth of shows and released in 1969, is a powerful testament to the formidable musical chemistry of these two rock legends, whose collaboration began when they played on Bob Dylan's classic Highway 61 Revisited. The Fillmore performances bring out the best in both musicians, who stretch out on an assortment of tunes, including the Kooper/Bloomfield original & quot; Her Holy Modal Highness & quot;, Paul Simon's & quot; The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy) & quot; (with Simon adding vocal harmonies), the Elvis Presley standard & quot; That's All Right & quot;, The Band's & quot; The Weight & quot;, Booker T and the MGs' & quot;Green Onions & quot; and Albert King's & quot;Don't' Throw Your Love On Me So Strong & quot;, which features a rare Bloomfield vocal. Otis Redding Live In Europe 150g LP (Vinyl)
Nobody burrowed more deeply into a song than Otis Redding - the most emotive, soulful singer the '60s ever produced. Blue Cheer Vincebus Eruptum 150g Mono LP (Vinyl)
Blue Cheer looms large in the annals of hard rock, laying down the sonic foundations of heavy metal and serving as a crucial influence on the birth of punk, grunge and stoner rock. While the rest of the rock world was mellowing out and embracing the spirit of the Summer of Love, the seminal San Francisco power trio was churning out ballsy blues-rock anthems whose fuzz-heavy, adrenaline-charged intensity helped to alter the course of contemporary music. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Vincebus Eruptum, Blue Cheer's landmark 1968 debut, is widely regarded as Ground Zero of the heavy metal explosion. The album, featuring the classic Blue Cheer lineup of guitarist Leigh Stephens, bassist/vocalist Dickie Peterson and drummer Paul Whaley, includes the trio's mind-melting reading of Eddie Cochran's & quot;Summertime Blues & quot;, which became a Top 20 single, along with such raw, overdriven originals as & quot;Doctor Please & quot; and & quot;Second Time Around & quot; and distinctive reworkings of the blues standards & quot;Rock Me Baby & quot; and & quot;Parchment Farm & quot;. Long out of print on vinyl, with original copies trading for steep collector's prices, this legendary debut is available once again in its rare original mono mix with meticulously reproduced original cover art. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Features: & lt;br & gt; • High-Definition Vinyl & lt;br & gt; • Mono Edition & lt;br & gt; • Sourced from original analog tapes & lt;br & gt; • Meticulously reproduced original cover art & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. The Soma Records Story Volume 3 A Man's Gotta Be A Man!
The Chancellors: I Can Tell & lt;br & gt; 2. The Monkees Headquarters 150g LP (Vinyl)
Micky, Mike, Peter, and Davy handled virtually all instrumentation used here, other than occasional bass input from producer Chip Douglas or Mike's longtime cohort and future First National Bandmate John London, or the horn solo used in Shades of Grey. The boys remain proud of this album because it was done the way the critics said it could not be done. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; The strongest tracks are the Nesmith country-rocker You Told Me (featuring Peter's show-stealing banjo mixed with bass, drums, and guitar), I'll Spend My Life With You, the somewhat audacious Forget That Girl, Shades of Grey, the rock masterpiece For Pete's Sake, the brilliant retro-50s rocker No Time (a studio jam written by Micky and Mike and then credited to engineer Hank Cicalo as a gift for his hard work, whose royalties helped him purchase a house), and Micky's delightfully overblown Randy Scouge Git - aka Alternate Title. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Also entertaining is the humorous & quot;outtake & quot; Zilch - one has to laugh with the boys as they chant bizarre catchphrases heard in their travels and finally break down at the end. Less effective is the & quot;outtake & quot; Band Six, a botched attempt to play the & quot;Merrily We Move Along & quot; Warner Brothers cartoon theme. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Sundazed introduces vinyl LP's of the first five Monkees albums! The Monkees More Of The Monkees 150g LP (Vinyl)
This album features some of the best of the Monkees earlier work and has spawned some of the most memorable work of the Monkees' careers individually and collectively. & quot;I'm A Believer & quot;, which is without argue the group's biggest hit is featured on this album as well as & quot;(I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone & quot;, another well noted Monkees song. Some of the other fine moments on this album include & quot;Look Out (Here Comes Tomorrow) & quot;, & quot; She & quot;, & quot;Your Auntie Grizelda & quot;, as well as & quot;Mary Mary & quot; which would later become a big hit for 80's rap group Run-DMC. The album, however isn't without it's flaws. The sappy non-melodic & quot; The Day We Fall in Love & quot; could have easily been excluded from the album for example, wheras other tracks such as Davy Jones' & quot; When Love Comes Knockin' (At Your Door) or Mike Nethsmith's & quot; The Kinda Girl I Could Love & quot; probably would have been better showcased on solo efforts, as neither cut featured any other Monkee. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Sundazed introduces vinyl LP's of the first five Monkees albums! Otis Redding The Dock Of The Bay 150g LP (Vinyl)

The fabulous title track reached number one on both the pop and R & amp;B charts, introducing Otis' talent and emotive energy to a much wider (and whiter) audience. Inspired by the Beatles' adventurous songwriting, and his positive experience at the Monterey Pop Festival, he wrote & quot; The Dock of the Bay & quot; while relaxing in Sausalito. He recorded it on December 7, 1967, three days before the airplane crash that would take his life and four members of his touring band, The Bar-Kays. The song was unlike anything he had released thus far, and showed the promising artistic direction he was headed in. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;On December 6th, 1967, Redding recorded & quot;(Sittin' on) The Dock of the Bay, & quot; an experiment in & quot;soul folk & quot; influenced by the enthusiastic reception he'd gotten from the rock audience at the Monterey Pop Festival the previous June. Four days later, he was dead, when a plane he'd chartered went down in a Wisconsin lake. & quot;Dock of the Bay & quot; went on to become his biggest hit, a pop and R & amp;B Number One. Guitarist Steve Cropper assembled this collection using unreleased sessions. So strong was Redding's output that both Dock of the Bay and the latter posthumous set The Immortal Otis Redding rank as essential soul albums. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - www.rollingstone.com & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Guitarist, co-writer, and friend Steve Cropper compiled this tribute album around it, gathering together some of his past singles, along with the unreleased ballad & quot;Open The Door. & quot; There are plenty of great songs, such as the magnificent & quot;Let Me Come On Home, & quot; & quot;Don't Mess With Cupid, & quot; and his classic duet with Carla Thomas, & quot;Tramp. & quot; The funky & quot;Huckle-Buck & quot; is from the Stax & quot;Stay In School & quot; record, and two fine cuts from earlier albums close out the set. As always, the backing musicians on all of the tracks are the fantastic Stax players of Booker T. & amp; The MG's and the Mar-Keys. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Features: & lt;br & gt; • 150g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Incredible String Band Hangman's Beautiful Daughter 150g LP (Vinyl)
If any musical combo ever meshed perfectly with the times it was the Incredible String Band. And hereÂ’s the proof: 1968Â’s The HangmanÂ’s Beautiful Daughter on deep-grooved, 150-gram vinyl. The wildly eclectic Scottish folk outfit -- with the airy vocals and fretboard prowess of Robin Williamson and Mike Heron as its two constants -- began life resurrecting wondrous and ancient Celtic ballads, then was transformed by the perfumed winds of 1967Â’s psychedelic revolution to add sitar, oud, gimbri and all manner of exotic axes to its arsenal. The result is a gently mesmerizing psychedelia and anti-folk stance -- consummate counterpoint to current psych heroes like Mogwai and Beachwood Sparks -- that makes perfectly clear why the Incredible String Band remains just that: Incredible! & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. The Monkees Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd. 150g LP (Vinyl)
The beauty of this album is that all four Monkees contribute different styles and yet it all comes together in a cohesive whole. For creating imagery and evoking nostalgia, it's hard to beat & quot;Pleasant Valley Sunday & quot;. The lyrics say it all so simply and so clearly. One listen, and you are back to suburbia, sunshine and backyard barbecues. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & quot;Love Is Only Sleeping & quot;, & quot; The Door Into Summer & quot; and & quot; What Am I Doing Hangin' Round & quot; are among the best Monkee songs featuring Mike's singing. But he may have saved his best for last with his soft and touching vocal on & quot;Don't Call On Me & quot;. On these songs, the Monkee's songwriting team really came up with some especially meaningful lyrics. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; As Mike's presence increased, Micky's decreased, and he sings lead on just three songs. But all of them are winners. The near perfect & quot;Pleasant Valley & quot; has already been mentioned. & quot;Words & quot; is a dark and haunting little tune, featuring Peter's background vocals. Micky's rendition of Nesmith's & quot;Daily Nightly & quot;, is just pure crazy psychedelia. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Of course Davy has his tunes too. He's probably at his best when he is able to combine dancing with his singing, as was the case when songs were performed on the program. & quot;Cuddly Toy & quot; and & quot;Star Collector & quot; are examples of this. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Features: & lt;br & gt; • 150g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Salesman, She Hangs Out, The Door Into Summer, Love Is Only Sleeping, Cuddly Toy, Words, The Door Into Summer (prev. unissued alternate mix), Love Is Only Sleeping (prev. unissued alternate mix), Hard To Believe, What Am I Doing Hangin' 'Round?, Peter Percival Patterson's Pet Pig Porky, Pleasant Valley Sunday, Daily Nightly, Don't Call On Me, Star Collector, Daily Nightly (prev. unissued alternate mix), Goin' Down (prev. unissued alternate mix)

Leader John Phillips' visionary producing, arranging and songwriting abilities combined with the quartet's breathtaking harmonies to make music that was both effortlessly accessible and creatively adventurous. The album quickly topped the Billboard album chart, bringing folk-rock into the pop mainstream and making Phillips, his then-wife Michelle Phillips, Denny Doherty and Cass Elliot into instant multimedia celebrities. In the years since its release, & quot;If You Can Believe Your Eyes & amp; Ears & quot; has come to be regarded as one of the finest pop albums of the '60s and one of the best debut releases ever, as evidenced by its ranking at number 127 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;The album was the product of Lou Adler's visionary production, Phillips' savvy studio mastery and the foursome's extended period of musical woodshedding in the Virgin Islands. The months of meticulous rehearsals paid off in the group's ability to emerge as a full-formed musical unit right out of the box, delivering such instant classics as & quot;California Dreamin' & quot;, & quot;Monday, Monday & quot; and & quot;Go Where You Wanna Go & quot; to the willing ears of record buyers and radio listeners. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;At the time of If You Can Believe Your Eyes and Ears' initial release, the presence of a toilet in the periphery of the album's cover photo caused faint-hearted moral guardians to pressure the group's record company to excise the offending fixture from subsequent pressings of the album. Sundazed's new vinyl edition restores the rare, long-missing 'toilet' cover, and features the album's superior original mono mix. It's also mastered from the original analog tapes, and pressed on high-definition vinyl - the better to maintain the same joyous sense of discovery that listeners felt when first hearing this timeless gem in 1966. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.musicangle.com & quot; & gt; ... five great originals beats the odds at a time when singles ruled and albums were cobbled together with a great deal of filler. This one took two months to complete and aside from the great tunes, there's that utterly unmistakable, original sound that few groups ever manage. & lt;footer & gt; -Michael Fremer, www.musicangle.com, Music 8/10, Sound 8/10 & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.rollingstone.com & quot; & gt; 'California Dreamin', this album's first hit and a warm breeze of melody that was the road song for hippie migrants to the West Coast in the late 1960s, was started by Papa John Phillips on a dreary New York day in 1963 - at the height of the Greenwich Village folk revival. Eyes and Ears is more of the sweet same: sunshine pop with a rustic heart, the Beach Boys for folkies. Breathtaking harmonies and Phillips' studio wizardry transformed the group's covers of 'Spanish Harlem' and the Beatles' 'I Call Your Name.' Another reason to feast your ears: the luscious sadness of 'Monday, Monday.' & lt;footer & gt; -Rolling Stone & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;Gold Vinyl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Mastered from original analog tapes & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;High-definition Vinyl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Stunning Original Mono Mix & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Uncensored artwork & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side One: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Monday, Monday & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Straight Shooter & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Got A Feelin' & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;I Call Your Name & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Do You Wanna Dance & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Go Where You Wanna Go & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Side Two: & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;California Dreamin' & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Spanish Harlem & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Somebody Groovy & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Hey Girl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;You Baby & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;In Crowd & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

The United States Of America The United States Of America LP (Vinyl)
The United States of America, led by respected modern classical avant garde musician Joseph Byrd, cut a wide swath through the 1968 world of rock, just then comfortably settling in to its backwoods dreams of country-rock to find the debut U.S.A. album howling like an infant terrible on its front doorstep. At the center of the U.S.A.'s fiercely experimental universe were the icy-cool vocals of the beautiful Dorothy Moskowitz, keeping this tumultuous sound from spinning out-of-control in every direction. Almost predictably, the U.S.A. disbanded before it could record a second album, but its brilliant, self-titled effort was certainly one for the ages. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Features: & lt;br & gt; • 150g Vinyl & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Even their clothes were mind-bendingly cool! & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;As the Seventies unfurled, Sly Stone became progressively flakier, frequently disappointing fans at his concerts by keeping them waiting . . . all night. & quot;Sometimes you don't feel your soul at 7:30, & quot; he explained. Happily, the increasingly dissolute soul pioneer had one more ace up his sleeve: the intoxicating & quot;If You Want Me to Stay, & quot; in which he holed up in the basement of his vocal range while a fidgety bass line kept running up and down the stairs. This burst of residual genius was surrounded by various idiosyncratic gestures, the oddest of which was Stone's ragged take on Doris Day's 1956 hit & quot;Que Sera, Sera. & quot; Fresh would be his last Top Ten album. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - www.rollingstone.com & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; When bassman Larry Graham and drummer Greg Errico split before the 1973 Fresh sessions, Sly and the Family Stone kept the pedal on cruise-control as though nothing had happened. Refrying the old Doris Day chestnut, & quot;Que Sera, Sera & quot;, helped brighten the mood considerably from the almost scary sound of Riot. But even though & quot;If You Want Me to Stay & quot; stormed the charts, Sly's increasingly erratic behavior was a bellwether that the glory days and the Family Stone seemed numbered. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Features: & lt;br & gt; • High-Definition Vinyl LP & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; 1. Otis Redding Otis Blue 150g Mono LP (Vinyl)
& lt;font color= & quot;#FF0000 & quot; & gt; & lt;b & gt;Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums of All Time - Rated 78/500! & lt;/b & gt; & lt;/font & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; In the 1960s, R & amp;B music was pretty much ruled (on the charts, at least) by Detroit and Motown records. As polished and sophisticated as it was, it still introduced many great Black singers to White America. Not far behind Motown's great work was that of Atlantic Records and its subsidiaries like Stax and Volt. Their vision of soul was something much grittier and rawer, and it wasn't afraid to make sadness exactly sound like that, gut-wrenchingly emotional. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt; & quot;Redding's third album includes covers of three songs by Sam Cooke, Redding's idol, who died the previous December. Their styles couldn't have been more different: Cooke smooth and sure, Redding raw and pleading. But Redding's versions of & quot;Shake & quot; and & quot;A Change Is Gonna Come & quot; show how Cooke's sound and message helped shape Redding's Southern soul, heard here in his originals & quot;Respect & quot; and & quot;I've Been Loving You Too Long & quot; and in a cover of the Rolling Stones' & quot;(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction, & quot; which was itself inspired by the Stax/Volt sound. & quot;I use a lot of words different than the Stones' version, & quot; Redding noted. & quot; That's because I made them up. & quot; & lt;/b & gt; - www.rollingstone.com & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; My vote for the most emotional soul singer of all time (and there are many) would be the late, great Otis Redding. In less than half a decade, Otis recorded some of the most spectacular and heartfelt soul music ever set to wax. Granted, a lot of Otis' albums were of the thrown-together variety a la Motown, but I kept hearing that & quot;Otis Blue & quot; (1965) was the best of the lot. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; To say which song on here is the best-known would be a bit tough, but I'll take a guess and say that it's definitely & quot;Respect & quot;. Otis' version was a top 30 hit and a great listen in its own right. But we all know that Aretha Franklin practically owns that song now, and we can best say that Otis' version is a pale reminder of things to come. Next in line may be the fiery (and that's an understatement) & quot;I've Been Loving You Too Long & quot;. Written with fellow soul legend Jerry Butler, Otis helps create 3 minutes of probably the barest emotions ever released on record, and his & quot;Good God Almighty, I love you!!! & quot; near the end is the epitome of chills down your spine. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Another great Otis original is & quot;Ole Man Trouble & quot; (B-side to & quot;Respect & quot;). Most of & quot;Otis Blue & quot; contains Otis' versions of proven classics, some of which Otis manages to reinvent just like Aretha did for his & quot;Respect & quot;. The Rolling Stones' legendary & quot;Satisfaction & quot; was a surefire plus for any soul singer, and Otis trumps their ace by replacing the famous guitar lick with a horn section. Otis doesn't exactly steal & quot;Satisfaction & quot; from Mick & amp; Keith, but it manages to stand right alongside it, and that says a lot. B.B. King's & quot;Rock Me Baby & quot; was bedroom music at its raunchiest, and Otis once again takes a great song and makes it even better. It's the same story on Solomon Burke's (recently inducted into the Hall of Fame) & quot;Down In The Valley & quot;. William Bell's & quot; You Don't Miss Your Water & quot; features a rare restained performance from Mr. Otis, and its slightly more country sound would prove it an appropriate cover for (of all groups) The Byrds. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; One of Otis' fellow soul pioneers was Sam Cooke, and even he acknowledged Cooke's important contribution of bringing gospel to R & amp;B music. He pays tribute to his mentor and dear friend with three Cooke classics: the stirring social anthem & quot;A Change Is Gonna Come & quot; (which I'm sure provided the soundtrack to numerous civil rights marches), the booty-moving & quot;Shake & quot; (Otis would later bring the audience to its feet with this song at the Monterey Pop festival), and probably Cooke's most infectious tune & quot;Wonderful World & quot; (don't know much about history...). & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; R & amp;B music has certainly come a long way since the soul-baring recordings of Aretha, Otis, Sam Cooke and Wilson Pickett. But music as cathartic as this is certainly hard to come by in this day and age of synthesized and overly-commercial R & amp;B. However, OTIS BLUE is a great example of soul music when it was drawing more inspiration from the church than the charts. - Eric Andrews & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Features: & lt;br & gt; • 150g VInyl & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; & lt;b & gt;Selections: & lt;/b & gt; & lt;br & gt; Ole Man Trouble, Respect, Change Gonna Come, Down In The Valley, I've Been Loving You Too Long, Shake, My GIrl, Wonderful World, Rock Me Baby, Satisfaction, You Don't Miss Your Water.

Instrumental support was provided by bassist Harvey Brooks and keyboardist Barry Goldberg, both of the Electric Flag, and veteran session drummer Eddie Hoh. Super Session proved to be both a commercial smash and a seminal influence, becoming the biggest-selling release of Bloomfield’s career and inspiring countless other artists to attempt similar studio-jam recording projects. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Out of print on vinyl for more than two decades, Super Session has been meticulously restored for this LP reissue, using Sundazed’s usual exacting standards. Spirit Twelve Dreams Of Dr. Sardonicus 150g LP (Vinyl)
Although they never achieved the commercial superstardom that was often predicted for them, Spirit remains one of the most revered and influential musical forces of the late 1960s. Perhaps more than any American band, Spirit embodied the era's adventurous eclecticism and creative ambition. Combining the experimental attitude of psychedelia and jazz, blues, R & amp;B, folk and classical elements, Spirit's original lineup burned briefly but brightly to produce some of the most distinctive music of its time. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Spirit's 1970 classic Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus (produced by longtime Neil Young collaborator David Briggs) is widely acknowledged as the band's magnum opus. The fourth and final collaboration by the band's classic original lineup of Randy California, Jay Ferguson, Mark Andes, John Locke and Ed Cassidy, the 12-song album reflects the quintet's one-of-a-kind mix of talents and personalities. Spirit's unique musical vision is reflected in their trademark hit & quot;Nature's Way & quot;, which remains a staple of classic-rock radio, along with such Spirit favorites as & quot;Prelude-Nothin' To Hide & quot;, & quot;Animal Zoo, & quot; & quot;Mr. Skin & quot; and & quot;Morning Will Come & quot; which mix sonic experimentation and vivid lyrical imagery with catchy melodic craft. & lt;br & gt; & lt;br & gt; Out of print on vinyl for more than two decades, Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus has been meticulously resorted to its original two-sided glory for this LP reissue, using Sundazed's usual exacting standards.
