About the Author



Carlos Mena is the Nike Professor of Supply Chain Management at Portland State University (PSU). Prior to joining PU he was a faculty member at Michigan State University and at Cranfield University (UK). The focus of his research is the impact of procurement and supply chain management practices on economic, social and environmental performance. He has more than 80 publications to his name and regularly presents at international conferences.

Remko van Hoek is Professor at the Supply Chain Management Department of the University of Arkansas, Sam M. Walton College of Business. He is also an independent advisor to several companies on sourcing and procurement. Previously he was Chief Procurement Officer at the Walt Disney Company, with responsibility for $15 billion in external spend. He also held procurement and supply chain executive roles in both the USA and Europe with several companies, including Nike, Cofely (GDF SUEZ) and PwC.
Martin Christopher is Emeritus Professor of Marketing and Logistics at Cranfield School of Management. He is a regular contributor to conferences and workshops around the world.
