Alfa Tube-UAC2 is a new long range outdoor 802.11 ac dual band Wi-Fi USB adapter/client for Microsoft Windows computers. It is great for marine and RV use. This is a special kit which includes Alfa Tube-UAC2 + Alfa AOA-2458-59-TM 9 dBi omni directional N-male antenna which connects directly to the Tube. In 2019, the number of RV parks and public networks offering 5 Ghz Wi-Fi has increased, and there are advantages of connecting to the less-trafficked 5 Ghz band. With Alfa Tube-UAC2 + 9 dBi antenna combo, you can get a range boost to both 2.4 and 5 GHz networks.

Note that because of FCC power restrictions on dual band radios, our long range single band USB clients like Alfa Tube-U (N) may get stronger signal to 2.4 Ghz networks. If you are thinking about upgrading, the Tube-UAC2 offers faster connections to 802.11 ac and 5 Ghz networks but may have lesser signal to 2.4 Ghz networks compared to Tube-U (N). This special kit comes with the AOA-2458-59-TM antenna. If you already have a compatible antenna or wish to purchase another model, you can buy the base retail Tube-UAC2 package here which does not come with an antenna.

Note the Tube-UAC2 is NOT compatible with the Alfa WiFi Camp Pro 2 antenna. That antenna has a different connector and is also not dual band capable. R36A support is coming in Q1 2020 but is not here yet. At this time, Tube-UAC2 can only be used directly plugged into the USB port on a Microsoft Windows computer and will boost the range just to that specific PC. However you can use Windows 10 Mobile Hotspot feature to create a hotspot and share your Alfa Tube-UAC2 connection from your PC to nearby devices (requires your PC has a built-in WiFi card also).

Tube-UAC2 is light-weight and easy to mount (it is 4.5 ounces and just over 6.5 inches tall). Simply use the two included mounting ties to fasten it to almost any type of infrastructure.
Installation and Compatibility: Microsoft Windows Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1, 10, Linux. R36A router support coming soon. This includes a DVD-ROM with installation software and manual, or this can be downloaded from our web site.
More Details: Alfa Tube-UAC2 easily fastens to your boat or RV, or an outdoor pole or post. It has weatherproof casing and it comes with a special shielded 5 meter (16 feet) USB cable that is designed to prevent against power loss. This allows you to mount this item further away from where you will be using your computer. You can connect any type of antenna to this product that has an N-male connector on it (the Tube-UAC2 comes with a N-female connector, which is different from previous generation Tube models). We also sell pigtails and converters if you already own an outdoor antenna with a different connector type.
