The Cult Sonic Temple 30 Numbered Limited Edition 3LP & 1 Cassette Box Set (Vinyl)
& lt;header & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;Numbered Limited Edition - 3500 Copies! & lt;br & gt; 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition 3LP & amp; Cassette Box Set! & lt;br & gt; & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;/header & gt; & lt;p & gt;Originally released in 1989, Sonic Temple proved to be a pivotal moment for both band and the wider rock scene. Produced by the legendary Bob Rock, Sonic Temple had four chart-topping singles: & quot;Fire Woman & quot;, & quot;Edie (Ciao Baby) & quot;, & quot;Sun King & quot; and & quot;Sweet Soul Sister & quot;. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;In a recent interview about the album, & lt;strong & gt;Ian Astbury & lt;/strong & gt; explained how the band brought together hard rock and indie rock to create the unique, game-changing sounds on Sonic Temple. & lt;strong & gt; & quot;We wanted to retain our core DNA as we went deeper into psych and hard rock influences. It was a complete immersion for me into art, film, music, poetry and literature, weaving those influences into what was to become Sonic Temple. The band was becoming more popular. We were in uncharted waters. Most of the bands we had come up with had split up or fallen off. We were accelerating. There was no real time to breathe. We were forming new allegiances and breaking the glass ceiling of 'the indie outsider.' & quot; & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;The album catapulted The Cult into superstar status and remains their most commercially successful release. It has sold over 1.5 million copies in the US alone, and was declared platinum in 1990. It made it to #10 on the Billboard charts, and the aforementioned songs all remain rock-radio staples to this day. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;The Deluxe Box Set contains 3LPs and a cassette plus tour memorabilia and ephemera (replica of original laminate, backstage pass, original press releases, label copy and more). It's numbered and limited to 3500 pieces worldwide and contains 40 tracks, four of which are previously unreleased. LPs 1+2 contain the album as originally released. LP3 contains Live At Wembley recorded by the BBC, and the included cassette contains limited-release demos. Four of the live tracks are previously unreleased. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;blockquote cite= & quot;www.pastemagazine.com & quot; & gt; By this point in the career of The Cult, the British-bred group had finally sloughed off all vestiges of their post-punk past and were settling into a comfortably successful run as a straight-up heavy rock group. And who are we to judge them for it? They had one of the great belters of the last millennium in Ian Astbury and the versatile guitar work of Billy Duffy. Why not get into the studio with Bob Rock and pound out a throbbing glam metal record? As lunkheaded as some of these tunes are, they sound appropriately filthy on this new vinyl pressing. Rock's often brutish production works for these tunes, emphasizing the thud of the drums and Duffy's psych-blues antics. The Cult found themselves on this album and never looked back. & lt;footer & gt; -Paste Magazine & lt;/footer & gt; & lt;/blockquote & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;Numbered, Limited Edition - 3500 Copies & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Box Set & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;3LP & amp; Cassette & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Replica of original laminate, backstage pass, Original pass releases, label copy and more & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Sonic Temple - Extended & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;h5 & gt;Side One: & lt;/h5 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Sun King & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Fire Woman & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;American Horse & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Edie (Ciao Baby) & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h5 & gt;Side Two: & lt;/h5 & gt; & lt;ol start = & quot;5 & quot; & gt; & lt;li & gt;Sweet Soul Sister & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Soul Asylum & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;New York City & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Automatic Blues & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h5 & gt;Side Three: & lt;/h5 & gt; & lt;ol start = & quot;9 & quot; & gt; & lt;li & gt;Soldier Blue & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Wake Up Time For Freedom & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Medicine Train & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;The River & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h5 & gt;Side Four: & lt;/h5 & gt; & lt;ol start = & quot;13 & quot; & gt; & lt;li & gt;Bleeding Heart Graffitti & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Messin' Up The Blues & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Fire Woman [NYC Rock Mix] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Edie (Ciao Baby) [Acoustic] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h5 & gt;Side Five: & lt;/h5 & gt; & lt;ol start = & quot;17 & quot; & gt; & lt;li & gt;New York City [Live At Wembley] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Automatic Blues [Live At Wembley] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;American Horse [Live At Wembley] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Sun King [Live At Wembley] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h5 & gt;Side Six: & lt;/h5 & gt; & lt;ol start = & quot;21 & quot; & gt; & lt;li & gt;Soul Asylum [Live At Wembley] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Sweet Soul Sister [Live At Wembley] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Fire Woman [Live At Wembley] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h4 & gt;Cassette - Demos & lt;/h4 & gt; & lt;h5 & gt;Side One: & lt;/h5 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Sonic Temple Radio Promo & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;New York City [Demo] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;American Horse [Demo] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Sun King [Demo] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Automatic Blues [Demo] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Yes Man [Demo] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Wake Up Time For Freedom [Demo] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Citadel [Demo] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;The River [Demo] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;h5 & gt;Side Two: & lt;/h5 & gt; & lt;ol start = & quot;10 & quot; & gt; & lt;li & gt;The Crystal Ocean [Demo] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Cashmere [Demo] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Edie [Demo] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Bleeding Hearts Revival [Demo] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Star Child [Demo] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Medicine Train [Rock Demo] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;New York City [Rock Demo] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Fire [Rock Demo] & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;

Buffalo Tom Birdbrain LP (Mint Green Vinyl)
& lt;header & gt; & lt;p & gt; & lt;strong & gt;30th Anniversary Limited Edition Mint Green Vinyl LP! & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;/header & gt; & lt;p & gt;Beggars Banquet is excited to announce a limited edition 30-year Anniversary edition of Buffalo Tom's epic second album, Birdbrain. Available on mint green vinyl, the album has been out of print for years. Since Birdbrain's release 30 years ago, many songs from the album have become live favorites including the epic title track & quot;Birdbrain & quot;, and & quot;Enemy & quot;. Trouser Press wrote that & lt;strong & gt; & quot;[Birdbrain] boasts most of Buffalo Tom's best songs. & quot; & lt;/strong & gt; & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;Buffalo Tom (Bill Janovitz, Chris Colbourn and Tom Maginnis) formed at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1984 - a breeding ground of post punk guitar bands like Dinosaur Jr. and Pixies. The three longstanding bandmates recognize the achievement of their longevity as a creative unit. Initially offering a raw, propulsive sound that emphasized Janovitz's imposing guitar squall on such early releases as 1989's Buffalo Tom and 1990's Birdbrain, Buffalo Tom's early approach gave way to a more melodic, yet no less distinctive, style on 1992's Let Me Come Over (including the hit ballad & quot;Taillights Fade & quot;), 1993's Big Red Letter Day (including the hit & quot;Soda Jerk & quot;) and 1995's Sleepy Eyed. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;p & gt;Their friendship with J Mascis helped the band's career take off by assisting with the production on the band's first two albums; their self-titled debut, and Birdbrain. & lt;/p & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;features & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Features & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ul & gt; & lt;li & gt;30th Anniversary & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Limited Edition & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Mint Green Vinyl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ul & gt; & lt;/section & gt; & lt;section id= & quot;selections & quot; & gt; & lt;h3 & gt;Selections & lt;/h3 & gt; & lt;ol & gt; & lt;li & gt;Birdbrain & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Skeleton Key & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Caress & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Guy Who Is Me & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Enemy & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Crawl & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Fortune Teller & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Baby & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Directive & lt;/li & gt; & lt;li & gt;Bleeding Heart & lt;/li & gt; & lt;/ol & gt; & lt;/section & gt;
